Hmmm, May appears to have become somewhat moribund - no new approvals since Malirca on the 14th. I wonder if the postal strike is slowing everything down.

i was just thinking...would the Canada Post strike be one of the reasons why approvals are slow for the past 2-3 weeks? Looking at the spreadsheet, before the strike started, processing times jumped around 14 days each week. hmmm. But, why? They would have already received our apps before it even started. ???


anyhow, here's to hoping we get more approvals this week!

I was hoping it would speed things up since there is no mail to process.... but you know... wishful thinking.

I am still not going to expect anything till after June 30th which is day 42 for me.

Yeah!! It sure is slow on here. O well, keeping my fingers crossed for a favourable response for everyone...cos I think that is most important.

Tonight I have decided to go to something completely new for me.... stock car races. My friend and her bf go all the time and she raves about it. She knows I am just about losing a screw from this process so she invited me to go with them.

Should have seen my daughters face at the prospect ... LOL but I figure we can't knock it till we try it.

Tomorrow is car wash for kids programs where we live. Water, soap and BUBBLES!!! ;D

I am SO thankful for distractions!!

Everyone keeps talking about receiving an email. So I went through my copy of the application that I kept and I cannot find where I would have put my email :-\

Now I am freaking out because if I did not put it then that would mean I would have to wait for a stinkin letter....through Canada Post

Can anyone please give me a quick reference that I can check to see if I wrote it in my app....I am thinking I am just missing it because I am flipping through it between tasks here at work.

Another question.....if there is something missing or someone is denied how do they inform you? Email or letter? How do they return the app to you (I checked not to continue if denied) and do they give you a list of exactly what is missing?

Ohhh ok...I was only looking at the sponsorship application forms because I figured there was something there and maybe I missed it.

So I will tell my hubby to expect it in his mail box as we put his email on the perminant residency app and I don't regularly check his mail. Although now that I know that ... hmm... sorry hubbs I am going to be prowlin yer email....hahaha

Thank you... yes it was fun. Not something I would rush out and do on my own. But with friends it was a great time. My daughter even got into it amazingly enough!!

Since I just found out that they will likely email my husband. I am going to go checking there.... Lord bless the man...but he is not email savvy at all... LOL

@dair2dv8103100 Actually there is a place for the sponsor to put their email in the "Application to Sponsor and Undertaking" question 7.b.

I'm not a May applicant, but was just looking through to see how fast things were moving along for you guys.

I don't have a (b) to any question 7 on my app. Sections A, B and C all have a question 7 but none have a (b)!!!

Did they change apps recently?? Oh my gosh... did I send the correct app?? Ok time for me to go check out the app online.

See this is the kind of thing that just makes me wonder how any sane person can remain that way after going through this!! :-X
