Needless to say that now we are in Canada he loves having his birthday on Halloween as it is such a big deal here. 8)

Getting so hard sometimes. It's like we live close enough to be fooled into thinking we can actually begin our life together. When, in reality, it hasn't truly started until I am able to land and live under one roof with my wife.
Hard day is all. I know you all will understand exactly what i mean. I'm at least lucky enough to go there on weekends. It's a tough transition each week, though.

spicymum said:Oh! It was beyond stressful! I was soo frustrated, I think I got depressed and then we were no longer communicating well. When Dair posted about the strain between herself and hubby, I was thinking: "Gosh! If only U knew!".
And its a good thing he was far away too, cos I probably would have gotten myself arrested for assault or "spousal brutality" (if there was any such thing! lol)
It was hard on me. I have to learn to relax or I will age much faster than my husband with his "relax, relaxxxxx" attitude. :

Ok ok... so I remember our wedding anniversary.. it was Jan.. 20 .. er.. 22?.. ah..yes Jan 21st ;D
Congrats!!mister_h said:We got an email today requesting we mail my spouse's passports for visa issuance. I have a couple of questions regarding this. In the email, a link was provided listing instructions for passport submission. It lists two addresses that we can send the passports to, one in Buffalo, and one in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada.
Our application was made to Buffalo (so outland I guess?). Does that mean we have to send the passports to Buffalo, or can we send it to the Canadian address listed on that link?
My spouse is currently visiting me here in Canada. Should she be in the US when she sends the passports, and wait there to receive it, and then cross the border?
Thanks!

Ok, so since she's currently still visiting Canada, we can mail her passport off to the Fort Erie Ontario location, then they'll mail it back to my Canadian address?ddobro2 said:If the principal applicant is in Canada at the time that the embassy requests the passport, he or she should mail it to the Fort Erie address. If s/he is in the U.S., s/he can mail it to Buffalo. In either case, s/he can also choose to submit the passport in person at the Buffalo office. You'd get the visa and be able to land without delay in that case.
Yes. Be sure to read the instructions though.mister_h said:Ok, so since she's currently still visiting Canada, we can mail her passport off to the Fort Erie Ontario location, then they'll mail it back to my Canadian address?
No, you don't need to go to Buffalo to land, since you (would) have your visa in-hand (haha, that rhymes!). You just head for the border (closest port of entry). Make sure you research well where and when to go and what documents to take with you.mister_h said:And once we receive her passport, we just have to cross over to Buffalo, turn around back to Canada and get stamped?
