LOL I know eh.... but if it helps with immigration should they ask for more proof then I will ask anyone going to there to do it..hahaha

I guess you guys have your interview coming up. Did you manage to get the CAIPS or whatever they are called now notes? I am sure you guys will be fine and this is just routine.

I was discouraged to have a woman in another thread tell us that after waiting 6 months her husband got an interview only to be told it will be another 4-7 months for security checks or they will get denied in the next 2 months.... yea.. nice...

Wish my fellow maybies luck... I am taking a break from here.

If you're emailing them for the first time and they haven't sent you an AOR, they should respond to you with one pretty quickly. After that, they usually reply that "due to high volumes, we cannot confirm receipt of materials" and that they will contact you if they need anything (translation: "sit down and shut up"). If I recall, their system sends out confirmations that the email arrived there instantaneously.

What's the response time like from that email account?

Hi Everyone! ;D

Hi spicymum been missing your presence!! hang in there. You are almost there :)

So from the looks of things the 9 months they post for Rabat is not truly accurate (possibly)... because people whose applications where received in March are just having interviews now (6 months later) and are being told at the interview that they have to start security checks now and that will take 4 - 7 months.... hmmm I am not great in math but that is at least 10 months if my adding is correct and up to 13 months. The only figures that add up are the "if you are denied you will hear from us within 2 months"... so looks like I might be in for a longer wait than we originally anticipated. :'( :'( :'(

Someone from June Manila applicant received her visa. WTH, lol...

let me recall

may - medical
june - submitted my docs and medical to Mississauga
july - docs received
aug - submitted additional docs and passport
sept - ecas status changed to in process and docs received
sept 20 - got the visa through DHL ;D

Application received April 29th 2011
In progress: May 10th 2011
Update: Sept 14th 2011 temporary residence: refused, visitor visa extention: refused due to original visa expired over 90 days. :-[

Well, if we're to believe what CIC puts on its own website, it is true that the 9 months refers to how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2011 at Rabat, once the application was received at Rabat from Mississauga. That data is based on the last 12 months of applications and it's updated every 3 months. Of course that doesn't mean that the couple of cases you're looking at on this forum are representative of all the cases Rabat deals with. Again, I would really suggest keeping a spreadsheet to track what happens when to whom in order to quickly reference timeframes.

Meanwhile, I just have to say how I love how informed ::) the Call Centre agents are. Here's what I posted about my experience talking to one of them: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-outland-buffalo-applicants-t41886.0.html;msg1010300#msg1010300

Hello all! Remember me? ;) I just wanted to let you all know that I received Sponsorship Approval this morning by email! It's only taken 4 months, but hey ho! Although I mailed our pack on May 16th, it wasn't received until June 21st it turns out. So they've only been actually working on it for the last 5 weeks. Anyway, my partner and I are ecstatic! I just hope London is a breeze! ;o)
