Omg, British Bulldog. You've certainly been patient!! I don't know if I would have been! I hope you have no problems at London either. Are you with your husband in the UK now? Congratulations!

Hello all! Remember me? ;) I just wanted to let you all know that I received Sponsorship Approval this morning by email! It's only taken 4 months, but hey ho! Although I mailed our pack on May 16th, it wasn't received until June 21st it turns out. So they've only been actually working on it for the last 5 weeks. Anyway, my partner and I are ecstatic! I just hope London is a breeze! ;o)

Fingers crossed everything goes alright from here. London have been fairly quick but we've still got a few UK folks from May still waiting for PPR.

Keep us posted! :-*

Just signed up for e-cas tracker. It's discouraging that my sponsor was approved so quickly, but they haven't even updated my home address or stated I am In Process yet (my AOR was on July 5).

I just need to vent! I'm sure we're all in the same boat in Buffalo. :-/

My file has been there since June 9 and I don't have In Process. Some people don't see in process for months or even until after they land.

ddobro, thank you:) As Anne Murray said, a little good news for me today to read that! I shared it with my sponsor.

I also ordered CAIPS notes just out of curiosity. Are they helpful? My sponsor/wife is a lawyer. It might be nice to see the whole thing one day! We are thinking ours is a pretty easy file, though. I guess we all think that, right? :)

Good luck to all. Thank you for reading my freakout!

No problem :). And yes, GCMS notes (which is what CAIPS notes are henceforth referred to as by CIC) can be quite helpful. I personally don't care much about what e-CAS says about my file, I can see in my notes that they started on about half the assessments already - medical and police clearance. They say that GCMS has a lot more freestyle writing than CAIPS, which is always good. Your wife's a lawyer? Well, aren't you lucky! Lol, we DO each think that our file is pretty easy - you're right about that.

By the way, after seeing your screenname I for some reason cannot get the song "Electric Avenue" out of my head :p

Thanks everyone. No ddobro2, I'm still in Canada with our daughter and my partner is in the UK.

So, what happens now? Do I receive email notification when it's been received by my visa office (London)? If someone could kindly let me know the steps once sponsorship approval has been received, I'd grately appreciate it.)

eCAS will update when the application is received in London. Usually takes about 10-14 days for that to happen. After that, you may see it change to "in process" with or without "medical results have been received". If it changes with medical results, your spouse can look out for an email from London within 4-8 weeks for a request to submit his passport. If it changes without the medicals, it may take somewhat longer for the passport request (PPR). London is currently averaging somewhere around 120-150 days to complete a file. So you may find he could be approved by year's end!

What CharlieD said! Sorry, I took a bit of a break from the forum this weekend if you can believe that.

Have you signed up for e-cas tracker? Do that, and it'll tell you when it's able to log you in. You'll see your sponsorship approval date there, and then the date London receives it. Apparently, they don't send AORs, so don't expect one of those. I guess they send their PPR through email as well.

Honestly, if you've waited for 4 months for sponsorship approval, you will have no problems at all waiting for PPR! Best of luck to you. And perhaps Darque could give you some more tips about what London tends to do.

London doesn't send AOR emails.

You got sponsorship approval on Sept 23 so London should received your file this week. Depending on the officer working on your case, you should only get an update on eCAS stating what date your file was received and 'medical results received', either at the same time or later.

You won't get any communication from London until PPR. Unless they request additional documentation.

From sponsorship approval (13 Jun) to PPR (22 Aug) we waited 2 months with no updates from London (except for our CSQ because we are going to Quebec)

The Outland UK thread spreadsheet currently shows that from Sponsor Approval to PPR currently averages 90 days.

I'm afraid you just have to sit tight and wait, I'm sure the worse is behind you now :p

Hi! How is everyone doing? I landed here in Canada last September 19 :) Everything went out smoothly :) Flight was good, no problem :) Immigration officers were really nice :) Overall, I had no problem going through all the immigration thing :)

The weather here is still nice, sunny and not yet cold. Around 19 degrees Celsius. So not bad, but good luck to me, winter is coming and I am living here in Saskatoon ;)

Anyways, my only complain is my husband doesn't own a rice cooker, so I better buy one soon!!! Everytime we go to a store, I always forget to buy one :)
