Yeap, I truly understand how you feel. We all are hoping for a speedy process. Sometimes, I get so paranoid and trying to figure out if I miss something or whatever ....

I wonder ...Been long distance for almost three years and with only a few and short visits ..... And now, this thing will be almost over .. Like in a few months, we will be together for good ... But it seems like this is the longest and the most exhausting wait of all ..... hahahhahahah

I understand the feeling sthomas...been apart from my hubby for about 3 years now and we've only been together 2x in those 3 years (4-6 weeks visit). When I came back to Canada this April from the P.I., i had such high hopes that I would be seeing him again soon. A lot of people that I know in Calgary were able to reunite with their spouses after 3-4 months of visa processing only! I've ben waiting for this for such a long time. It's been such a heartwrenching experience every time I come back to Canada after a visit. It's like dying inside each time. :'(


Ahhh....just needed to rant a little bit. Apologies if it got a little bit dramatic. But on to the brighter side, there's still a full week ahead for us to have our PPRs! hopefully it will be this week. Cheers!

the only difference I could see is that they have taken out a few questions about country of residence and your status in that country.

I am going crazy you know .. Still trying to figure out, what is going on????? NO PPR .... I hope they changed their procedure and then just ask for PPR when visa is ready. What I am really worried about is, for previous batches, they just worked on to their application once they already got your passport and other documents... I hope this time it is different... PPR when visa is ready!!!!!!

I still haven't gotten mine (*I don't think...) but I'm w/ Buffalo, which I've noticed sends theirs sometimes 4 months into the process.

FINALLY!!!!

I received the letter today saying that I have been approved and the app had been transferred to Rabat. The letter is dated July 26th.

So not sure when Rabat actually receives it but at least it is something!!

Hi All,

I have applied for my Spouse PR visa and my husband has been approved as a sponser & my file has been received at CHC New Delhi on 8th July and the status under PR column now is ''appplication Received''. However , since then there is no change in status and also i have not received passport request yet . Is this normal ?

Can you please advise on following :
1. how much time it takes to get the passport request ?Its been 25 days now for my application !!
2. when does the CHC New Delhi changes status ? are they regular in doing so ?
3. How much time it takes to get the passport back after it is sent to CHC ?
4. Is there any way i can enquire about my application at CHC New Delhi ?

Also all those who have applied their application in 2011 , can you all please post your timelines , this can give an idea of current processing times.

My Timelines are :-

Application received at Missisuaga : 25 May 2011
Sponsorship status - Processing : 28 June 2011
Decision made Letter sent : 28 June 2011
Decision made Status : 1 July 2011

The processing time for New Delhi is on average 6 months according to CIC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp. That said, this VO is among the fastest I've seen, with plenty of people getting PPR within a couple of months. Look at the spreadsheet for the April thread - they have lots 'o New Delhi people. For some reason this month's thread does not have nearly as many people going through that VO. Also, look at the New Delhi outland thread and the spreadsheet associated with it. Anyway, there is no "normal" in this process because everyone's application and circumstance is different. As much as one would love to know how much time it takes from one stage to another, one really can't.
