But man...why can't they scan that one page and send via email...I could simply write Not Applicable and mail it back. Instead of wasting time and resources and money. I can understand if there is more than one thing wrong or something completely missing...but come on...2 words??

Well I managed to hold it together long enough to call CIC-M.

They are going to put us through this grief all over one missing Not Applicable. When all the rest of the information is actually there. So it actually has nothing to do with the email question.

....

All because of a simple "Not Applicable" missing? OH my! that's plain silly if you ask me, but anyways, I'm hoping your file gets back on track soon and expedited so it won't incur more delay.

By the way, do you remember which question is the one where the missing info is?

With summer starting that means my daughter will be away more so I am going to get back to the gym.

Doesn't it just sound crazy!! And my poor husband. I had sent him a text message with the news and now I am talking to him and he told me ... "Everything was soo good today. I was working hard and I was making good process in my work and then I get your message and I can't do anything. My mind won't stop turning. Is it me that forget or you that forget or what happened?"

And when I tell him what is the problem he can't believe it either.

So now we are sitting here in front of our computers and just trying to be strong for each other.

By the way, do you remember which question is the one where the missing info is?

It was the question that asks: Do you live with anyone? I answered yes in (a) and put in my daughters info. Part (b) of this asks if you have any children not listed in (a) that do not live with you explain here and I forget what (c) asks. I neglected to put Not Applicable in (b)

Really how hard would be to simply call me and say...do you have any kids that don't live with you? I would say no and they could say ok great thanks. I could completely understand if I said yes that it would have to be returned and I would have to fill it out.

i'm still really surprised they're making such a fuss out of something so technical but I guess it's for a good reason: they don't want to leave ambiguities in your file, which is pretty understandable from a legalistic point of view.

But anyway, as a fellow poster said earlier, the good news is that fortunately you did not get an outright refusal, so at most this will be just a minor delay in your process, so once you submit the corrected form they should be back in business. I hope that at least they put you back on the same track where your file was taken off from!

In the meantime you could probably use this situation to build upon your connection with your dear one and give support to each other. I'm sure you guys can find that warm comfort on each other in times like this.

What form is that, though? I dont have my forms in front of me but I dont rmbr those b and c questions? I wonder if we had the same forms or was it some region-specific form.
And now Im thinking if I had to answer those questions, I would have left my b part blank and not fill in NOT APPLICABLE.

It's making me wonder if this is the reason I haven't heard yet. I'm trying to think back and remember if I put Not Applicable on everything.

When I called CIC-M she said that was the only thing listed as incomplete. So until I get the letter that is all that seems to be the problem.

Really crazy. The lawyer that has reviewed my papers said that yes they will send it back just for that but I guess time will tell.

And if that really is the case...it's no freaking wonder it takes so long to get through this process if this is how it is.

Thank you....and I hope we can get to that point maybe tomorrow...it was a rough night for us online. We hardly talked really as both of us were exhausted from a long day of disappointment. There was some relief as other people here did share some stories of common issues and we were relieved to learn that we will not just go back in queue again. We will be able to address it to the IO directly and they will review it before new apps.

I even started to get hives again today from the stress....LOL... its strange how our bodies react to anxiety. I tell you when my husband lands and has exited the airport with me ALL of Canada will know about it... hahaha
