I am applying from Dubai...
I just called CIO...and exact replica of what umair81 mentioned above....except that they did not provide me Client ID and told that still no record in the system...however he sent a query to CIO and told that some one will contact in 30 days....umair81 said:Hello All..
after 4 months of wait my patience finally ranout...
finally called CIO office from gmail so it was a free call .. somethings good in life are free hihi...
waited 10 min exactly till the officer attended to my call.
ok first thing he asked was my client ID.. which i obviously didnot have,
so he asked me to provide me last and first name. then he asked for my DOB.
then he asked when did i send my application. and he put me on hold and took other 12 minutes...
he came backonline and asked me ok when did your application reached CIO.. which i told reached on 31st of may.
he asked how was it sent.. i told it was sent via registered mail and i did track it via canadapost website.
he asked for the tracking number.. which i didnot have.. as i lost it.. 4 months ho chukay hain yaar...
we put me on hold and after 5 min came back and asked wether have i applied earlier...
i said yes i applied for immigration in 2007 and thats in process.. and i applied july this year for study visa which i got but couldnot go to canada due to family problems.
he asked for mode of payment.. i told CC.. and it was charged on 19th of august
he asked me kindly see ur statement of CC and plz read what are the details regarding transaction.. which i read to him..
than i was given my client ID and was told that someone will contact me within next 30 days or i can contact them visa this ID.
THATS ALL GUYS..thats my exp, call took 32 min.. did cost 0.0.. and i feel lil relaxed atleast i have a complaint in pipeline now
