that is not an excuse. Why is it when it got to towards the ending of april to may and june that there is now delay. It was going on fine before at least people were always receiving AOR now there is totall stand still. I think they are purposely creating that delay to reduce their intakes

Hi Guys,
While waiting for our AOR, we are trying to collate all the necessary documents and we both encountered a bit of a challenge because I have two step children that is included in my application. They were abandoned by their father, I am just not sure what to submit to the Immigration Officer once they ask for Custody letters or anything. My wife just had an affidavit that her children were abandoned. Do you guys think that it would be sufficient? Or I f Anyone encounter the same challenge what should we prepare. :-\

My application end of April and I hav'nt heard anything yet. As for the Bank they are supposed to tell you when the DD is encashed. You must visit the branch where you got the DD made.

My take on the May 3rd roadblock is basically that as the CIC was processing May 3rd, a discussion, regrouping, and revision of tactical plan on how to address the huge number of applications took place. It does not make any sense whatsoever that after 1 month, they are still on May 3rd. What that tells me is that they paused, took stock of the issues, and will continue once a plan is in place. Therefore, officially, they are still on May 3rd.
I think it's best to just give them time to sort things out. I know it is difficult for all of the May applicants. But, think of it this way, 1) You are assured to be assessed based on the rules that applied when you made your application (hence, no 20k / 1k caps in place), and 2) the waiting makes the approval that much sweeter!
