Hi,

I'm one of May 2010 applicants

My file transferred from LVO to PVO in April 2013 and I got the Medical request at that time,
Since then I sent many e mail to PVO and my case with them till “ Under background check “
One month ago I received different response from PVO that my file has been transferred to LVO, for further processing,
Then I sent e mail to LVO for confirmation and to ask them what if my medical test expire
They “ LVO “ replied that my file is with them now and it is under background check and they extend my medical test to March 2015

Some questions please:

• Does any applicants who is living in UAE has the same case,
  I have changed the bank which I used to deal with does this will affect on the background checke
  can some one tell me how much this " Background check" takes

BG can take anytime between 1 month to 2 years or may be more. My Background check is still not cleared since July 2012 & its march 2014. So i am in the cue.

I am wondering if you have traveled to many countries as that might be part of the delay in the back ground check.

Previously i dont use to agree with this statement that travelling to too many countries can delay in Background Check, but yes now i do agree.

Mine birth is in Kuwait stayed til 9 years. then 6 years in Australia as a PR & 4 months in New Zealand. But i think they have taken too much time. its shouldnt be 2 years to clear BG.

I think these are quite random and they probably have aquota which they must check. While I live in the UAE, I travel regularly and my 10 year travel history ran into four pages, but my entire process lasted about 4 years.

So don't worry, it will be all be fine, very soon.

4 years is too long....well m cming close to 4 yrs...just couple of months more left...haha....

lets hope i get good news within this month as my baby medical is getting expired on 25 March....sick of these medicals...lolz

Hi,

I am also May 2010 applicant. My medical is expiring in May 2014 and still my ecase status shows in process. I sent email to PVO and they told me that my file is being updated. I don't know what is going on. I am afraid that if i receive passport request in April or May, 2014 I won't be in a position to land in Canada before medical expiry date. Any suggestions to delay the process so that I receive PPR after May and then I will have time till expiry of second medical to land in Canada?

Ecas normally turns from "IP" to "DM" when all the parameters of BG (inclusive of reassessment of Medicals)are taken care of.But, at the same time ,we should understand that ecas is not essentially referral to exact action taken by VO on our files.. At times, it not not updated nd the movement of file goes on from one level to other, even when final decision is taken by the designated VO. UPDATES posted by many members in the forum,especially pre-juners, substantiates this fact. Release of visa docs may precede ur ecas turning to DM.

No worries, please . Let us wish and pray FOR SOMETHING good happening ,very soon.

Almost four years to get this done. Hope can encourage the folks who are still anxiously waiting.

Sydney received my application for FSW on June 8, 2010.
Files transferred to Buffalo on June 21, 2011.
Files transferred to CPP-Ottawa on June 10, 2012.
Medical request on September 12, 2012.
RPRF on February 27, 2013.
A case Analyst required more documents on Dec 31, 2013.
Redo the X-ray in Feb, 2014.
Passports Request on March 19, 2014.
Passports received by CPP on March 24, 2014.
Passports mailed out from CPP March 27, 2014.
Passports received from CPP March 28, 2014.
Landed on March 28, 2014.

Hey Guys.........

After a long wait of 4+ years, day before yesterday we got our passports with a stamp of maple leaves.

The visa is valid until 25th Sep 2014 only as the medicals are getting expired on 30th Sep 2014.

Thanks to all of you for keeping me motivate when I was disappointment.
