I wrote to canadian high commission islamabad about my case. my application was received at sydney office on 14 may 2010. they forwarded my email to CIO sydney. today i have received response from sydeny office and canadian high commission islamabad has forwarded this email to me.

i have lost the passport whose photocopy i sent to sydney office when i applied for Canadian immigration (federal skilled worker class). now i have a new one. should i inform the sydney office about this, if yes then how?? pls comment. thanks

If you didn't received the AOR from Sydney yet, my advice is do nothing for the moment. After receiving the AOR, you must send the application to the Visa Office. Include in the application the copy of the new passport and an explanation letter explaining that you lost the old passport and you have a new one.

I asked my Visa Office "what happens if I must change the passport for my child during the process of obtaining the visa" and their answer was that I can change the passport without a problem. They don't even mention that I have to inform them about the change...
