Hi All,

Finally some update on my file. They asked for my Wife's document as i got married in feb. My application is still in status of Aplication Received.

I have doubts.
1. They asked for my documents too. (All of them) it is like a new application.
2. How long you guys think it will take as i have travel plan to India in September on my Dad's retirement.

Thanks,
Ricky

First of all, congrates that your file is showing some indications of processing....

They ask documents every now and then... one by one, sometimes... with a gap of a month or so in between each request...

Now you'll be sending the forms and fees for your wife, as you'll be adding her in your same file. You'll both get PR together... It is better than sponsoring her later.

They will ask you forms for you as well, because now your status is changed, you may have traveled to get married, so background declaration form as well as additional family info form is changed...

So basically send them all they need. You'll only get her medical request after you send all this, so better do it fast. I know it is gonna be too much, but much more is to come once you get done with her medicals...

Relationship questionnaires, marriage photographs, proofs of engagement, honeymoon, and reception... proofs of contact between you and your wife. Its all yet too come.

I received an email minutes ago about my WP application. As usual, its refused like what happened last year.. And I needed to reapply and pay again....Canada is making money from us huh....This is what's in the letter:

This letter refers to your application for a work permit.
Your application as requested is refused.
[X] After considering all the circumstances of your case, your application for a work permit cannot be approved as requested without a valid Labour Market Impact Assessment and Confirmation from Employment and Social Development Canada. Your prospective employer is responsible for obtaining this confirmation.
[X] Your status in Canada is valid until 2015/05/30.

So now, I dont know whats the next step.....Im so furious! >:(

Hi Tinacraigg,
Thought I should let you know that my open work permit extension application was approved. I pray we all get our PR very soon.

When did you get married?
When did you inform CIC about your marital status change?
When did CIC requested you for documents? ( I mean after how many days did you get a reply from CIC).

Hi there,
I also applied for OWP online in april, current processing time is 68 days.Would you mind telling me that if you submitted online or paper application?
If you submit online there is no option for LMIA or any job offer as i have my medical results.
Thanks

My wife is inland too... i got married 8 days after applying for PR. Then we were waiting for my wife's passport. I added her in my file in July, 2014. She got her medicals done in August, 2014. She applied for WP in sept, and got it in Nov. She arrived here in Dec.

Is your wife immigrant/citizen already? Or arrived as a worker...

Same here still waiting for ip

Finally after 5 months (20 weeks) we received our FBI.
Well another problem to deal with today. My boss was trying to do the LMIA application today online but it wont let him process it. It keeps on giving him to correct the date of application. He paid already the $230 online. But we cant proceed to his application.
I called the CIC call ctr to get help but they said I should call the ESDC ( nearest Service Canada) for guide. So i called ESDC, they said that my boss paid the wrong fee, it should be $1000... Any idea or help from you guys...My motivation is getting low already...Thanks!

They are right the fees if 1000 for the LMIA. but one thing I don't understand is that you are PNP nominee you suppose to get WP under LMIA exempt category you shouldn't need to do this.
