hey friends i have a serious inquiry. i received my ainp in april, 2014 and my pr application was received by april 28, 2014. my medical was done in june, 2014. i got request for landing fee in first week of feb,2015 and my file was in process on feb 28, 2014. after that i received an email on march 3, 2014 for passport request. before i send them passport i got another email on march 6, 2015 saying that passport request email was sent by error your application is still under review. i was surprised to see this email then i called them. they said some verification is pending so it will take some more time to make decision and asked me to wait until april ,2015. so i am worried what could be the reason for this and is it quite normal?
please give me some suggestion on this.

April is gone. i called CIC they said it may take until september as processing time is 17 months.
I got my GCMS notes yesterday my application status is on hold and there is no reason given for this.
My criminality, medical and eligibility is passed but security, HIRV and misrepresentation is blank.
I Don't know whats going on my file i am so worried as i have no job at present. My employer was bothering me so i left the job last month.

I received an email minutes ago about my WP application. As usual, its refused like what happened last year.. And I needed to reapply and pay again....Canada is making money from us huh....This is what's in the letter:


This letter refers to your application for a work permit.
Your application as requested is refused.
[X] After considering all the circumstances of your case, your application for a work permit cannot be approved as requested without a valid Labour Market Impact Assessment and Confirmation from Employment and Social Development Canada. Your prospective employer is responsible for obtaining this confirmation.
[X] Your status in Canada is valid until 2015/05/30.



So now, I dont know whats the next step.....Im so furious!

I'm sorry to read about your notes on the refusal of your work permit application by CIC. I believe you will get your PR before the end of May 30, 2015. All things work for good for those that believe in God.

I have a quick question for you about your work permit application: Did you apply for an open work permit or closed one? I am asking because I did apply for an open work permit on March 4,2015. Although my work permit application was for the remaining 9 months of my post-graduation work permit. I was initially issued 2 years and 3 months post-graduation work permit, instead of 3 years due to the validity of my passport, which I recently renewed.

Did you apply for a closed or open work permit?

It says we started processing on 20th April.


Then they sent me document request asking me my last entry to Canada, and copy of passport pages. They also asked me my country of residence for past two years... Apart from my visit to India last year, when I got married, I'm in this country since 22nd Dec, 2011.


Sharing this now because I was away for a while.

Hope everyone else get it IP and DM, PPR and land soon too.

Don't know when they'll decide my fate and send me PPR...

May I know when did they asked for additional documents?

I applied for a close WP. Ill apply next week again. ai have 3 more weeks to do it bec my WP will expire 28th of this month... Im tired of my misfortunes

Yes, my spouse is here.
My medical also is technically expired, but I wasn't asked for any reassessment.

I hope it's in final review... they asked me when did I last enter Canada, so that's my second and last entry.... I got married and came back last year...

Then they also have my wife a work permit.... so at least they trusts us on that we're really married... now what more they need!!!

When did you indicate the CIC about your marital status change?
