hey guys, im also waiting for the request for my RPRF. can you tell me the timeline for that. ive got my file number jul 4 and medical done july 23, then they received it sometime in august. how long should i wait to get my rprf request? thanks

Lol nobody can tell you a timeline as CIC has demolished any perception of a possible timeline pattern/theory in the last half of this year... but here is a view of the timeline;

Good luck Shovon, I should add to my post above that I meant CPC-O for applicants from within Canada. I think the case processing is a little different for applicants from outside

Well I'm sort of confused now. Sent my application in March, got acknowledgment of its receipt in April, and May 16th I received an email stating that "Your application has now been placed into processing." The CIC website still states "application received," however. Is this one of those instances where the status simply hasn't been updated properly? (Details state that both the application and medicals were received.)

The email in May also stated that "This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your payment dated 17 Apr 2014 in the amount of 1400 Canadian dollars." Is that the RPRF fee that everyone refers to, or something else (it's for 4 applicants)? I'm not 100% sure because my employer has been taking care of the fees.

The "application received" email was the AOR (acknowledgment of receipt). The "placed in processing" just means that there was nothing wrong with the documents and CIC will start working on it at some point (it's not the same as "In Process", which basically means that someone picked up your file and started doing actual review).
The acknowledgment of receipt is just for the application fee; RPRF is usually requested later, when you reach "In Process" stage.

You are not alone in this situation - almost everyone who applied in March/April, myself included, are still waiting for In Process and for the RPRF request.

The PRRF is another fee on top of the application fee your company paid for you (the $1400 you mentioned).
Which province are you from by the way? We have pretty much the same timelines. i'm from ON PNP

I'm in Alberta. The AINP processing was blazingly fast compared to this.

Yeah no kidding, my BC nomination only took 10.5 weeks from the date they received it... and that's with Christmas included! Looks like it is going to be more like 10.5 months to just get in process with federal!

Status: 'Application received'

Tomorrow, ECAS would bring happiness to April /March applicants. ;D ;D ;D
