March - April PNP PR Batch :)

So hey, clerical question for those of you who may know. Got my CPR papers in the mail today, and the accompanying note says that "you must inform us if any corrections are required to the name, passport number or date of birth on the CPR(s)." All of that info is correct on our papers, but the...

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

I got IP on January 23rd of this year, and I was sponsored by Alberta. Just got off the phone with CIC and she was able to confirm what the decision was: permanent residency approved! If someone can show me how to edit my info on the left like other have, I'll put my full timeline in there...

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

Just checked the website again today, and a "Decision Made" status was present. That was less than a month turnaround from IP status! Think I might call just to confirm the decision myself, because it's not gonna leave my head until I find out one way or the other...

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

The CIC tool states that they received my application on April 22, 2014. I should mention that my application is still listed as "application received," but the email specifically states that the review is ongoing.

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

Oi. I also just received the request for RPRF, and looking back, I'm technically a May applicant (AOR 5/16/14). Holy cow, it's moving! edit: I'm an April applicant after all, double-checked

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

While it's reassuring to hear that CIC doesn't always update the ECAS tool, it makes the situation even more frustrating, as there doesn't seem to be any recourse to gaining a better understanding of where exactly an application sits, which is really throwing a monkey wrench into my employment...

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

I'm in Alberta. The AINP processing was blazingly fast compared to this.

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

Well I'm sort of confused now. Sent my application in March, got acknowledgment of its receipt in April, and May 16th I received an email stating that "Your application has now been placed into processing." The CIC website still states "application received," however. Is this one of those...

March 2014 AINP PR application submitted to Sydeny, NS CIO Tracker

Just found this thread. Been working at the job I'll be "offered" for almost 4 years now, and have applied for PR from within Canada. Adding the timeline events that I can remember... Application type to Province: Skilled Worker Application type to Federal: PNP Application sent to CIO - March...

Changing Employer During PR Application Process... Can It Be Done?

That part is understood, yes. I had just been wondering if this would then mean that my ultimate working status past the 4-year mark in Canada is now intrinsically tied to my current employer, as the only reason I am in possession of an extension is because of my active PR application.

Changing Employer During PR Application Process... Can It Be Done?

Well. That settles that then. :( One followup question. On the chance that this other employer really wants to go the extra mile to get me, would they able to apply for a fresh work permit on my behalf? Or would this be denied since I would be past the allotted visitor permit window of 4...

Changing Employer During PR Application Process... Can It Be Done?

I've run into a bit of a snag on something and am having a hard time finding valid information. Any help would be appreciated! I currently have an active PR application through the PNP (Alberta). We were asked by CIC to do the medical clearance 3 months ago and have completed it. My work...
