I have almost the same timeline - my status on ECAS is still Medicals received, while the call center agent said that my case is In Process. My GCMS notes show that there was nothing done on my case since September, when CIC approved the medicals.

It depends - sometimes it is a week or two, in my case it was over a month, but it was last May.

Congratulations on the good news! Can you please share your timeline? Also, did you get a request for RPRF? I applied in late April and my file had the same note about "identified in QA" back in July, so I hope to get some news soon.

Some people also had CIC asking for documents that were included in the package. Can't really tell why. Did your application reach CIC on Mar 10 or you have AOR status since March?!

Did you try calling OPNP or CIC? I wonder what they would say. Can you use the letter of nomination from OPNP to extend the work permit? My file reached CIC exactly 1 month before yours, so I was lucky to receive AOR. I have 10 months left on my work permit, but I am worried that in 6 months...

The "application received" email was the AOR (acknowledgment of receipt). The "placed in processing" just means that there was nothing wrong with the documents and CIC will start working on it at some point (it's not the same as "In Process", which basically means that someone picked up your...

Wow, that does not sound good. It means that OPNP is worried about what federal CIC will find during the QA and OPNP is decided to gather information on their own... Now it looks like there might be a fight between CIC and OPNP and we are caught in the crossfire. I still hope that QA will end...

I have not received any calls yet. I only know that my file was in QA thanks to GCMS notes. There was a post from someone about a month ago - the person talked to a MP office about the QA exercise and was told that it is coming to an end soon. So, there is more than one source giving us this...

This confirms information from a couple of other people that QA is coming to the end. I really hope that after QA our applications will start moving faster

I actually think it is a positive sign that they started calling people. At least it's some progress, as opposed to have no changes for months. I don't think that CIC does not like PNP. Few years ago there was a QA exercise for TRVs (visitor visa) - it is just something that CIC does internally...

I really hope so. The key question is whether files that went through QA will go through the regular process, which would mean a delay for us, or the process would be faster since they already examined our files as part of QA...
