OINP should clarify whether they have completely stopped issuing the PT or it is paused for sometime.

What ever may be the scenario they should officially declared. IT would help a lot of aspirants to plan themselves.

Wrong, they are accommodating 56,000 refugees in 2016, that's why they have reduced 20,000 economic immigrants in 2016.

I think the system has become jammed with too many applications and they are reducing the invites for the time being because otherwise they wouldn't be able to handle them in time. And by applications I don't mean only EE - the visa officers also evaluate applications from other programs, such as the family program, which is where you have a huge backlog. This also explains why the typical application gets looked at by a VO, you see an update in the system, and then your application waits for weeks until another VO opens it to work on it for an hour or so, and then leaves it until another few weeks have passed, and so on.

The reduction in the number of economic immigrants planned and the refugee quota increase are just part of the reasons for the reduced invites.

As for the OINP, they obviously have a huge backlog there as well, as evidenced by the doubling of the time to AOR from 2 to 4 months. I think they took on too many applicants too fast - more than they could handle in a reasonable amount of time. So I guess they will go easy on the invites for now until they clear part of their backlog.

Hey guys was at 462 and my points dropped by 5 last week so now i am at 457 ...I have never been so unhappy on my bday.

someone told that CIC is clearing backlog of 2014 candidates. One of my friend got his medical request for his application made in Sep 2014. Hope score will drop after backlog cleared.

Yeah CIC is doing that but shouldn't affect EE ITA.
old applicants are included under old caps

ITA are reduced as this year economic immigrants cap was reduced.

Ugh, I had an ITA previously with a score of 469 but I got rejected for a PCC error, now seems like getting an ITA is harder and harder...PGWP expiring in July.. I guess I will try for PNP again...Immigration is such a pain

Hi I got my ITA on 23rd March and I got my Medicals done today, they just gave an emedical form saying that they will submit report to high commission , will Thisbe fine do I need any other formalities for Medicals.
