Hi I asked my wife's ceremony (originally scheduled for Aug 8th as well) to be postponed as she is not in Canada now. Earlier (when I did my citizenship 2 years ago) when your ceremony was postponed, you had to send them email to let them know you are back in the country and send the boarding passes.

But now I am surprised that they have marked my wife as unavailable till Sep 20 (the day she is back) and told "Your ceremony will be rescheduled after your unavailability expires. You will receive a new invitation by email about one week before the event."

Is this same in your case ? So we need not contact IRCC proactively after the person arrives in Canada anymore ?

i got the exact same reply. I think to be on the safer side and to speed up the process, it’s better to email them as soon as we r back

Hey, I just pass my citizenship test I received an email mentioning my result and it says it might take months before seeing the update, how long does it usually take to update ?
I think I was a bit too enthusiast and thought the update would be real-time

Not to give you false hope, because everyone is different, but we had kind of a similar timeline initially:
Did my test on 12 July, and it was reflected in 3 days.
Got LPP Completed on the 24th and the oath email on the 25th. The oath is scheduled for 8 August

Partner had their oath today in a virtual ceremony. It was Edmonton office that presided over the virtual ceremony and started promptly at 12:45pm EST. The Mississauga office was where the file was initially for the test, LLP etc.

It took exactly 2 hours and 15 min or so to complete the entire virtual ceremony. Took a good hour to get through registration for the 100 or so participants. It was mostly sitting and waiting for the rest of the ceremony to begin. It was emotional to watch the intro videos and also the lovely people taking part and their journey to becoming citizens. The application process took approx 4 months from mid March 2024 till July 30 (oath). I am rooting for all of you to have the same experience.

We are still waiting for a formal (email) invitation. Kindl;y advise on the below;

Did you respond via return email received for the invitation?
How do you know it has been postponed?
Any idea when you will get another invite? Did you mention the date onwards you will be available?

We received the invite to oath ceremony today (July 23). It is scheduled on Aug 1.

So it took exactly a month after the fingerprints were marked as received and background verification was completed.

The status for LPP or Oath ceremony is not yet updated in any of our trackers.

Oath completed today virtually. It took less than 90 minutes for the entire process even though there were more than 100 applicants.
