So I spoke with the IRCC agent, she said they are still working on applications up until Feb 12th, 2020, like wth? Also, they said there is a temporary file number for the file for me but she cant tell me as they havent inputted the use of rep form in the system. I asked her if the completeness check was done, she said she cant comment on it, she just said there is a temporary file number.
Now what does that mean? Is my file complete? What stage is it at?
Just means that they have the application in queue to be checked for completeness. That is when you will get AOR1. First official notice of receipt and it being complete.

You should always fill out the Representative form if you wish to contact IRCC in any aspect about the application. And yes even if you are the sponsor. Crazy I know lol.

Hi guys,

How do we know if medical is passed? Is there be any update in the online account or we get any emails?

Hello,

We submitted the spousal sponsorship application for my wife back in March and still waiting for AOR1 to come in. In the meantime, we applied for a visitors visa for her in parallel, and it was approved, she's got her visitors visa now.

Does anyone know if you can pass your medical in any country, or does it need to be in the country of residence? We are trying to avoid a scenario where she comes to visit in Canada and then has to rush back to get the medical done. It would be ideal if she could do it in Canada, I'm just not sure if this is allowed or not for spousal applications.

BTW, tried to call Immigration Canada about this already, but they couldn't give me a coherent answer. I guess this is not a very common scenario.

IF you have an account linked to the application you'll get an email saying you have a message in there that you need to login and check

You can do anywhere in the world, including Canada, where there are approved medical facilities or doctors. The medical instructions you will get include a link the to the website where the approved facilities are listed.

Note, this is subject to covid rules (i.e. are the medical facilities actually operating at all), and I've no idea whether the list IRCC provides is updated to reflect which are open - you'll likely have to call around to find out.

But at least you'll both be in Canada while you try to find one open.

2. I am trying to sign up online GCKEY, but once I sign up after security questions page takes me back to CIC home page.

If this is of any use to people, posting what the tracker looks like right now for March 2020. It seems people are getting AOR1 and SA together almost. Thank you for filling out the tracker :
