what about the rule IRCC shared ? we should receive calls based on AOR Dates!! Service Canada is calling random people instead of AOR dates. I know people in Mississauga with AOR 20 April got a call while I am waiting for call with 21 Mar AOR. Also 1 guy () in Sudbury got a call to schedule appointment in Brampton that too 20 June AOR, NOT FAIR for people in Brampton with AOR dates of Feb, guys you should All tweet IRCC and tell them what's happening!

I believe they are checking other conditions.. My gut feel is they are prioritising simple applications meaning less countries travelled, experienced with single company, single etc which makes it easy to cross verify and also calling those for whom except biometrics rest all are completed. Otherwise this random calling won't make sense

Same boat, Mar 20 AOR. Passed by analyst and security isn't started yet. Order GCMS a couple weeks back.
I ordered the GCMS notes on Sep 11. I haven't received them yet. It used to take around two weeks before. One member order a week before me and hasn't received them yet. Looks like even the GCMS notes is taking longer than usual.

My aor is Mar 2020, my GCMS notes show everything except biometrics left. why won't they call me. Also IRCC might have shared only biometrics details with service canada, service canada should not be aware of our file decisions.

If service canada works with the same speed, and if 2nd wave lockdown is there, they would be the 1st one to close their offices and we are again stuck!

@legalfalcon,
I am from India, last update I got on a web form on 15 Sept 2020 was as below:

Your application was received via your account on March 4, 2020.
Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
  • Your application is currently being processed at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
VAC offices in our country are still closed. Does that mean no action would be taken on my file? Also, what is the job of local VAC in the processing of application? It would be great if you could help me found out how much progress can I expect until the local VAC offices are closed.

Hi all
Mine is March 24 AOR
CEC ( wife still in india)
Medical passed July 13, 2020
I received a message for procedural fairness ( typical questions how you met your spouse etc) and they gave me just 7 days to send them back, which I did within time.
Then I received two ghost updates ( few days after submitting procedural fairness).
My wife is exempted from biometrics as she already did for her last year when I applied for her work permit, but I have to do them. (waiting for call)
My profile snapshot says: We are reviewing whether you meet eligibilty
Medical passed
Biometrics pending
Processing background check.

Any thoughts guys? Is it just the biometrics that is stopping the application before I get the good news? cheers

March 6 AOR
Medical passed on 12 March and BIL request on the same day.
We had submitted our biometrics on 17 March. No movement on the application since then. Opened up my profile two days ago and noticed that my application had been “updated”. Biometrics column now says: March 6, 2020 Completed
Though I’m happy to notice some amount of movement on the application, it’s still weird that the biometric completion date refers to my AOR date rather than my actually biometric completion date.
Ordered GCMS notes a week ago. Waiting for those to arrive now.
Same thing happened to me.
My application status was updated two days ago on www.canada.ca. First time since April.
Out of the blue, it went from "biometrics not submitted" to "March 9, 2020 Completed", the date of my AOR.
I submitted my biometrics early April, so both messages are wrong.

I received a reply to my webform inquiry at about the same time. Perhaps the update was triggered by an agent looking at my profile.
The reply was not very informative though:
"We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process"

Most likely your eligibility is passed or recommended passed. To see if your eligibility is passed, see ,u previous post on how to check based on your GCMS notes available at #2,521

How to decipher webform responses, https://bit.ly/3n1ojgG

“valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC

After your eligibility is passed, your security will be initiated. To read on security screening and the security screening manual used by CBSA / IRCC see https://bit.ly/30jwtr9

The LVO is responsible to send your the PPR. In some cases the LVO also finalises the eligibility, and does the final review.
