I have read on some thread that background checks would be the last part for PA. So I would not worry much about this for now. We're just gonna do my spouse's medical exam and wait for further instructions. If this background check does not come through for the next 2-3 months then I'll have to contact CIC. I have no luck calling their call center it just gives us an automated message, "due to a high volume of calls... Unfortunately we cannot connect you to an agent." ::)

hi guys,

for those who have received medical request, was it thru GCKey or stand alone email?

It was GC Key and email saying you have a new account message.

How long does it usually take after sponsorship approval to get the medical request?

Took 3 weeks for me. See my timeline in my signature.

I received application number today.

Is that's what we call as AOR1?

You should call the clinic, generally they will not need it( they take one picture for their use and send it through Emedical). Anyway ask the registered physician's clinic)

I am in the same situation. Not only me, many are.

Why is sending an email something so buggy for CIC? If they cannot gurantee their systems, they should not fully depend on them. They can just send an email instead of the inbox thing!

The inbox thing works fine with the express entry, so it seems the bugs may be because it is a "linked" application, or because they are not trained to follow the sending procedures every time correctly.

I am calling them now, waiting on line for 28 minutes. I do not know why a wait time would be that long? If they are getting this steadily they MUST hire and train more people.

Everyone here knows that Family sponsorship is actually "generating" profit for CIC, right?
TRUE !!!!!

Hi, did you receive the email to upload the schedule A and PCC or you just uploaded it on IRCC Webform to make ur process faster and without them telling you to send?

I uploaded my Sched A and PCC via IRCC Webform on the 6th working day after receiving SA email. As per email to hubby, they say they will send correspondence via email or MyCIC within 5 business days. But that never happened. So, as most of applicants did, I took the initiative to submit via IRCC webform with an explanation that I never got the correspondence within 5 business days and they require the documents within 30 business days. Hope this helps! :)
