Has anyone here or anyone you know of applied for visitor visa at the same time as their PR? I know there is a 50/50 chance but does it make sense to apply for it or is waiting for the PR the best way to go? I'm not sure how it works if you apply for a visitor visa and it gets rejected - not sure if that affects the PR application?

Application was received 3rd March, still no sign of AOR1.

When they return applications, do they send any communication that they've sent it all back ?

I just checked, they have a March version of the form IMM 0008E. The earlier one was Dec 2016 but there is no difference between the two. Will they accept only the latest one? If I send the Dec version, will it be sent back?

generally no. you can contact the helpdesk and they should be able to give you more information 1888-242-2100

no they wont. chances are there is a difference such as a word or something... but if they are processing your application, a new version is NOT required unless they ask for one

I have question re: the 10 pages of proof. What have you guys sent? I have 3 years worth of fb messages and I am not sure what to screenshot. Do they need to follow a certain conversation? or a clip will do? Regarding physical letters? did you guys sent as well?

I sent logs of chats and calls, mostly in arabic with english timestamps. I also attached facebook record of interaction, with the comments in arabic also. I was adviced to do so as it shows authenticity and the intimate content is irrelevant, instead the fact that we communicate continuously in our native tongue would be more of a proof.

Thanks....we do not live together...so I guess I have to follow 10 pages....and 20 pictures....

if you live together DO NOT send more to them... there is no need. trust me we had a whole bunch of stuff (over 3000 pages of conversations) but now we live together and did not send anything that is in the section of NOT LIVING TOGETHER... doesnt make sense that you would send it to them when they arent asking for it. follow the instructions

Just a heads up everyone - there's a new Generic Application form (IMM0008) out as of this past Saturday. If you're about to submit its worth taking the time to re-do the form. They often will allow a bit of grace, but why chance it.

Hey Guys,
I am a permanent resident and applied for my wife to join me as a PR. CIC sent my file back because in my sponsorship documents, i was missing my Tax Info. I printed mine online and they did not accept. Now i printed Proof of Income Statement 2016 from CRA login.
My question is, do i need to fill the forms again and get my wife to sign them and send them to me from India? I am a bit confused. And i don't need Notice of Assessment 2016 right? Proof of Income Statement should be okay right?
