Not for me (again lol)

Nope me neither, if we did don't you think we'd be posting it in excitement?

you are right Mapleson.
I just want the SA because the attached letter requestig CSQ.
And just for curiosity: where can you found info about any case being rejected in Brazil last year?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/opendata-donneesouvertes/data/000009-eng.xls - An application withdrawal is strongly correlated to sponsorship denial. Some people who do not receive a SA will continue the process and end up as rejected, while some who do receive a SA may withdrawal during Stage 2.

As an aside, don't forget that Quebec applications take longer that federal applications. From the 2015 Spreadsheet, of the 7 Quebec destined applications, the average is 56 days for AOR and 72 days for SA (this is 10 days more than the total average). Not sure if that makes it more or less stressful.

All the applicants whose visa office is NDVO...... GET READY.... The most painful and tiring time of our lifes have started..... Sorry to say this...but what to do? This NDVO they are still stuck with 2014 jully or august files and not sure if they are gona start 2015 files .now...i dont even find or see a single application of this year has been started by them ..... When i see the last years time line they have started the processing of the applications of 2014 in the month of august .........this is the only place where the applications are being delayed for such long time separating wife and husband... :'( :'(... Feeling worried ....and sad...

The same with Mexico VO, and my husband is not even from there... and apparently SAs will take another month, even though I am a March 13 applicant... :(

Hopefully no, expect SA to be there by next week.

After reading Mapleton point of view, I have decided to take a different approach to all this waiting game. As I told my husband, just let's think you'll be here by December and that's it. For DanSIh, you will be reunited by August and thats awesome. I am also waiting for my SA to apply for my husband's CSQ but a friend of mine, Feb 19 or so applicant, received her SA just last week.

Thanks Mapleson and Luna21 for your insights!
It cleared my vision a lot.
+1 for both :D

Yay! It makes me glad that I could help someone deal with the stress. I'm delighted at every positive step forward, I still check eCAS twice a day just to make sure, and I miss my wife like gangbusters. Most of this process is outside of our control, but we can control how we think about it and how we deal with the separation and wait.

Received a SA through email. Ecas has decision made under sponsor. SA email informed the file has been moved to Ottawa. Ecas also states that mail was sent out on May 1, 2015 regarding the decision, nothing in mail so far. Could the mail have a different vo office (mississauga). Maybe SA email was generic?

Hi guys! I just received an email this morning from CIC. AOR received in just 25 days.
I hope this is the beginning of a speedy process for me and my husband's application.
I've sent the documents on April 11 and it was delivered on the 14th.

That email is not generic. If it said Ottawa, that's where it's going. As has been mentioned many times, all U.S. applications go to Ottawa and it's only some applications from the Middle East and some that would normally go to London (due to the huge backlog there) that are staying in Mississauga right now.

Actually, Maggy, New Delhi is slightly better than average (16.6 months average, 16 months for NDVO). The process is long and separation is unpleasant, but if this is the most painful thing you've experienced, then you've lived a lucky life. Just remember why you are going through the process and how rewarding it will be when completed. Adversity makes success taste that much sweeter.

First of all, if you are rejected you get $965 back. Second of all, the Sponsor Approval rate is above 97%, so being rejected would be like flipping a coin and calling it correctly 6 times in a row. Drilling down, no sponsor applications relating to Brazil were rejected last year.

An application in Quebec needs only to fill a handful of easy criteria:
  • Finished any previous sponsorships
  • Not receiving social assistance (age or disability related are OK)
  • No outstanding alimony payment orders
  • No sexual criminal record
  • Not subject to a removal order
  • Not in prison
  • Your spouse is over 16
  • Your spouse must sign a declaration of understanding

If you know the answer to all of these, then the SA process is just a formality and no reason for stress.
hi.... May be what you said is right but being apart from your spouse and just waiting for a news to hear that may be today your turn will come is really hard.... If the wait is small it will never matter you.... But if youre not sure when your wait is gona complete it starts hurting you..... If you see these ppl are still struck with 2014 applications... And not sure when your turn is gona come.....but just considering the 16 months time frame and we cant sit calm .... But we dont have any other option other than waiting for turn.... Fingers crossed.... To hear some good news....mixed feelings to be frank..
