That's horrible Dan, am sorry to hear that. I haven't heard a word yet on my end either still so we both are still up in limbo. Not nice of them to treat people like that who just want to be reunited :/

Not surprising since you aren't past the date on the website. All of us who got fast AORs - I guess it was pretty meaningless since so many are creeping up to the 60+ day mark for SA... >:(

It's 63 days today which is driving me crazy.
Why the hell they don't give us a sign?
The lady who picked up the phone don't even bother to ask for the process number.
It's not for free. It costs us 1040$!

Dont worry man, am sure u will get ur SA very very soon, myabe today later u will see Desition made on ecas

Hey guys, I am confident you guys will hear something by the end of next week. I got my SA in 29 days, however will probably have to wait another 7 months or more for stage 2 to complete. Unfortunately my file was transferred to Ottawa where the wait time is 15 months. Looks like September 2014 is slowing getting their landing papers. I know the first stage is very frustrating for many of you but I am sure the second stage will be much quicker. Try not to stress. Stay positive

I feel for both of you...I know Sao Paulo is fast at least, and hopefully d_j's will stay in Mississauga after SA since that has happened to some that would normally go to London lately...me, I'm just going to end up in Ottawa's black hole. I originally was hoping to be there by our anniversary on Sept 26th, but unless I decide to "visit" early, which would be a pain in the ass (putting personal belongings in storage near the border, etc.) there's no way that is going to happen.

The call centre agents can only divulge information that is available to them from the system. If there is no update in the centres computer system from the VO(s) then the agent can not say much.

Chris.

For sure I understand that, but how can they not even ask for any info?

All the applicants whose visa office is NDVO...... GET READY.... The most painful and tiring time of our lifes have started..... Sorry to say this...but what to do? This NDVO they are still stuck with 2014 jully or august files and not sure if they are gona start 2015 files .now...i dont even find or see a single application of this year has been started by them ..... When i see the last years time line they have started the processing of the applications of 2014 in the month of august .........this is the only place where the applications are being delayed for such long time separating wife and husband... :'( :'(... Feeling worried ....and sad...
Actually, Maggy, New Delhi is slightly better than average (16.6 months average, 16 months for NDVO). The process is long and separation is unpleasant, but if this is the most painful thing you've experienced, then you've lived a lucky life. Just remember why you are going through the process and how rewarding it will be when completed. Adversity makes success taste that much sweeter.

First of all, if you are rejected you get $965 back. Second of all, the Sponsor Approval rate is above 97%, so being rejected would be like flipping a coin and calling it correctly 6 times in a row. Drilling down, no sponsor applications relating to Brazil were rejected last year.

An application in Quebec needs only to fill a handful of easy criteria:
  • Finished any previous sponsorships
  • Not receiving social assistance (age or disability related are OK)
  • No outstanding alimony payment orders
  • No sexual criminal record
  • Not subject to a removal order
  • Not in prison
  • Your spouse is over 16
  • Your spouse must sign a declaration of understanding

If you know the answer to all of these, then the SA process is just a formality and no reason for stress.

you are right Mapleson.
I just want the SA because the attached letter requestig CSQ.
And just for curiosity: where can you found info about any case being rejected in Brazil last year?

Actually Maggy, NVDO will not touch our files before October this year.. I am expecting March 2015 NVDO applicants to receive PPR by January, February or even March next year...
During this wait time, I am thinking of applying a Visitor visa for my wife...

No SA today guys?
