Wife received email stating that she was approved for Sponsorship. Was able to log into the ECAS website and see where my application is. Application is "in process".

I did not receive a AOR or is the email my wife received considered AOR. The letter attached to the email states that she is approved for sponsorship and that my application
was moved to Ottawa.

Questions:
Did we skip AOR and get a SA?
Why was the file transferred to Ottawa and not done in Mississauga?

First, congratulations! Your wife would have received the AOR email - who know why she didn't receive it...maybe it was caught up in a spam filter or something...kind of irrelevant now that you have SA.

Very few applications for PR stay in Mississauga. I've only seen a few that would normally go to London stay (because of the huge back up in London) and some from the Middle East where there is internal strife, such as Lebanon or Syria. It's very rare otherwise. If you are from the U.S., having the application going to Ottawa is completely normal.

62 days ends on the next week for us.
So let's wait for the best.

Yes just pointing out the SA trend ;) Having a bank holiday sure isn't helping our cause either, oh well, hope for a quick one next week.

Can someone update the spreadsheet

Filed application March 31, 2015
Application Received April 2, 2015
Did not receive AOR1
Received email with a attached letter that states my wife has "met the requirements for eligibility for sponsorship" on May 1, 2015

ECAS has the following information regarding me (Sponsored Person):

1.Received application to sponsor on April 2, 2015

2.Started Processing Application on April 28, 2015

Also my file was moved to Ottawa from Mississauga

Another typical Ottawa case, def. favoring American soil at the moment.

Yeah I am noticing the same! Also the number of applications per month is going down according to the sheet. January had 45 applications, April had only 9 applications. Hope that is going to let them go through March applications faster, same as they did with the AORs.
Gah, this is part of why I dislike the splitting of data onto the March Spreadsheet.

January - 46
February - 43
March - 44 (March), 28 (2015) = 46 unique
April - 16 (March), 10 (2015) = 17 unique

It problem is even worse when you look at all the VO spreadsheets, where people choose not to update a second one.
</endrant>

Beyond that, you have to remember that the Spreadsheet is a sample of a sample of the full population. We have information on about 0.5% of the cases on the spreadsheet, there are around 0.5%-1% more of the cases that read/post on the family boards of the forums, but don't use the spreadsheets, 2%-3% more on the other parts, and then 95% of the cases that we know nothing about.

There have been a number of London-March SA, but in general they keep to their own sheets, so the apparent "trend" in American preference is only an artifact of who uses the our sheets.

Wow awesome analysis, Couldnt agree more. I totally overlooked the March Sheet. that makes my statement incorrect, the number of applications is not going down, even in the sample of the population that we are monitoring.

Thanks for the explanation.

And that's why I only use the 2015 spreadsheet.
No need to split informations or have 12 spreadsheets/year + one for each VO.

I hear you, but I'm going to continue updating 3 - the 2015, the March, plus the CPC-Ottawa.

OK, maybe I will stop the March one. :D

I think the VO office ones in particular can be valuable - it's the best place, at least at this stage of 2015, to see where they are in processing since Ottawa is still knee deep in applications from 2014 (they seem to be processing Sept now).

Where is My AOR :(
