Waiting for the COPR to arrive in te mail. Hopefully that is. Does anyone know if one can just get it if you go to cic office instead? There's an office nearby open to the public. Considering that option of others heard it worked.

You cannot just go to the CIC office instead. You’re COPR is issued by your Visa office. They will send you an official document that has you’re passport picture attached to it. It shouldn’t take too long before you get it though. I got mine one week after e-cas changed to ‘decision made’.

Sorry, can you add more detail? Did you receive a request for documents? I don't understand your post.

Honestly, Calgary_man, maybe they can't give you updates because they couldn't find your file? It's possible it got lost in the mail. Did you check the tracking info?

I believe, because he's called before a few times, that the call centre puts in an internal request for information on his file because he has been waiting so long. Despite this he still hasn't heard anything and I believe what he's saying is that the call centre is telling him that they can't place another internal request until 90 days have passed since the first one was placed. Is that right calgary_man?

Calgary_Man, sorry I wasn't following your situation. Did you request someone to sign for the package containing your application? That is what I did and UPS emailed me the name of the person who signed for my package at CPC-M.

Well, I can sympathize with you calgary_man. Perhaps we have the same officer doing our applications. I am not even able to have parents call anymore, someone must have caught on that I cannot talk to the call centre if I am out of the country. I wonder what you mean by request for documentaion as well? In all my conversations with them, not once did anyone say they will put in a request regarding my file. I would just walk into your mp office. Don't call. Just walk in.

It has been 3 months since my application was received and around 50 days since the form. O_guy, Both times I did not request a signature, but both times, canada post tracking showed bud jamel signing at the other end, even though they were different addresses (one cpc, one intake center). I have sent case specific emails 4 times now, and not a single response (other than the automated one). Last one I included every bit of information I have, including receipt number, file number, and temporary number given to me by an operator. I am being patient now, not thinking about it as much as before. I was talking about asking my father to walk in to my mp office, but my parents have the mindset that I should just wait till I am back in Canada so I can deal with my mp personally.

As i said before, my friend has similar situation. Her application is lost. It has been delivered in 100% but Fedex doesnt want to give information about the person who took it from them. The package was delivered on March 28th and she was calling so many times and still nothing. They must have big mess and some not responsible workers :/

I remember you saying this. My question is, if something is lost, how and when do you get notification of a misplaced application?

If whole thing is lost,then probably they wont realize too fast, maybe worried people will call them first. At least my friend wasnt notified, they didnt know her application ever existed.

It is not really up to Fedex. There is a service where you can pay couple of extra dollars and request signature and CPC-M signed for my package TWICE. They returned the first time because of missing document, but yes they signed for it TWICE and both times I received email from UPS informing me the date/time it was delivered and the FIRST NAME of the person who signed for it.

The fact that someone signed for it doesn't change the fact that the application may be lost, but at least it gives you proof that the application was lost by CIC. Then you can use that proof (name of person who signed for it) to ensure your second application gets in front of the line.

Thanks O_guy for the link I just joined it. This forum have been of great help for us still on the waiting list. The world cup is also helping to ease the waiting time but unfortunately my Country is out of the competition now I count on other African teams to take us far and why not win the finals ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
