    You cannot just go to the CIC office instead. You’re COPR is issued by your Visa office. They will send you an official document that has you’re passport picture attached to it. It shouldn’t take too long before you get it though. I got mine one week after e-cas changed to ‘decision made’.

    It’s true. The current delay is 12 weeks before the Montreal CIC office will contact you to make an appointment. So it might take over 3 months before you can activate your PR. The fastest way to activate it is by going to the closest US border and activate it there.
