Hello shersheel,

For Q#2, yes you need to inform CIC.

For #1, I am also in the same boat, but I think better to send it as that is one of the documents that proves our eligibilty for CIC apart from Employer letter. I read this post and came to this conclusion.

1. In my application i have provided Notice of assessment from canada revenue agency for the tax year 2012 (december only, as i started my job in december). Do i need to send, Notice of assessment for 2013 too, as i got it last month only?

2. I am going to quit my job n will start preparation for some exams. Do i need to inform CIC about my resignation from job?

can i send documents through e-mail? if yes what`s the email address?

You can email most documents to CIC, the only one that has to be mailed ( the original ) is the PCC.

hey guys,

my application received Mar 7th, and I got my my file number end of March. however, I still cannot view my ECAS? anyone has the same problem?
are you all able to view your ECAS (application status online) ? I entered my information and it just cannot find me!!!
Hi Same Problem I faced, after receiving AOR i was not able to view ECAS.

When I called CIC they provided me a email id and format which i need to explain all my problem with screen shot .
In 4 days I got mail saying problem resolved and with the Input parameters which I need to use to view ECAS .

One note: I saw reply for your post saying use Hyphen in UCI . PLEASE DON'T DO THAT ECAS don't understand "-". It is told to me by Tech expert of CIC when I called them
PS: That is different thing still i am seeing application received status for last 2 months ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hope this will help
-Thanks

Hi,

I submitted my application with most of the people in this group. It was received on the 10th of March, however I am yet to receive the AOR. Looking at everyone else's comments, this seems like a rather long time since everyone received their's within 30-45 days. When i log onto my CIC site I get this as one of the messages:
"We received your application for permanent residence on March 10, 2014." and nothing on the status of the application.

Given your ample experience, can anyone suggest the reason for this?

Have you tried checking your spam folder? Do you know if you were charged the processing fee? Are you able to log into ECAS?
If your answer to all of the above is negative, email the CIO office and they will be able to assist you.
Good luck!

Spam: Didnt realize that. Just check nothing was there, however spam is deleted every 10 days so I might have missed it.
Processing fee: Paid using a bank draft which for which the funds are withdrawn immedietly.
ECAS: yes. I get "We received your application for permanent residence on March 10, 2014" as the only message and nothing else.

You can check with your bank if your draft was encashed or not.
If ECAS is showing that message it means that an AOR was issued and possibly went into your spam folder and was deleted.
Another thing you can do, is to order GCMS notes. That should tell you if processing has commenced or not. However, I'd confirm this with the CIO office.

Hi,

can you confirm if this"We received your application for permanent residence on [date]" indicates that an AOR has been issued? Did others get a similar message and nothing else on ECAS?

Yes, you can send documents to CIC from anywhere around the world. However, CIC asks you to keep the communication
to a minimum. I would not send documents unless CIC asks you to submit any, or you've failed to submit the documents
with your initial application package.
