Thanks for the info wonderclicks. Yes mine is a metro, but I read somewhere that if the passport is issued in tatkal without police clearance it might take them few weeks to do the verification & issue a clearance. I dont want to give my original passport & work permit papers to the consulate. so I planned not to apply here & apply it in india in july as I will be visiting anyway. But do u think they will ask me to submit it before that? In that case i have no option other than to apply now and wait & hope for the best. What if i dont get it before july, will they let me take back my application & passport to travel to india?

Getting passport in Tatkal doesn't mean you didn't pass the police verification. They will issue the passport first, however if there is any bad record they will withheld the passport in later stage. I don't see a problem for you to get PCC done here now. However to be on safe side apply from India as you are traveling back home and you will get it by 2 weeks max. Looking at your timelines i don't think CIC will ask for PCC by July, in case if they ask for PCC you will have 60 days of time to submit your PCC.

So plan accordingly.

Did anyone else get RCMP clearance request from CIC?

I did last week. I went to the police station and got mine requested on Last Friday. They said I should be getting mine sometime this week

it is on RCMP website regarding RCMP certificates for immigration.

the agency I did my electronic finger printing with last week didn't ask for my file number neither for the canadian immigration centre. Will that cause me a problem later on?

Hi Guys,
I have couple of questions regarding info update.

1. In my application i have provided Notice of assessment from canada revenue agency for the tax year 2012 (december only, as i started my job in december). Do i need to send, Notice of assessment for 2013 too, as i got it last month only?

2. I am going to quit my job n will start preparation for some exams. Do i need to inform CIC about my resignation from job?
