Title case Vs Upper case Vs Lower case
Thanks steveholt. I have tried many many iterations of the surname like you mentioned but still nothing. Thanks for the suggestions.

HI
I had sent my application on 26th March. It was received by CIC by mail on 27th. Today I checked my ECAS. It just mentions that "We received your application for permanent residence on March 28, 2013."
I have not received my AOR till now. I was just curious to know as I should get it by this week. Any comments??? Thanks
You would usually receive it before it's visible in ECAS. Have you checked your spam mail?

HI Jsm0085
Yes I have been checking my mail and spam folder regularly. I just tried logging in today and saw the message that my application was received. Im hoping to see some mail for AOR from them today or during the week. I was also little surprised to see that!

To be honest it doesn't overly matter. If you can login to ecas - everything is progressing well. The AOR doesn't provide any other information that you really need.

I belive the UCI can be used in place of this - which can also be found on the work permit?

Jsm085:

1. Do we need to send RCMP PCC while we are living in Canada? I read it as not mandatory but I think you had sent that. CIC will Ask us, only if needed right? Or do you think proactively we should send before they ask?

2. I came to know that some applications are being sent for a second check as an audit with in Sydney office with 'in process' status on ECAS before sending to CPP Ottawa office? Is it true? Other point is, in such situations more applications are getting rejected.

3. May be for above reason all does not show up in process status though they received AOR on same date or in same week.

Sorry if I wrote something wrong. Just wanted to clear up my doubts.

Thanks.

1. You don't need to have it done or send it unless CIC request it. I already had it done, hence why I was sending it.
2. Where did you hear this? News to me!

Yes, some applications appear to be going to "In Process" very quickly and appear to be receiving some extra checks based on other threads in this forum but I think that it's fairly subjective to say that more of those are getting rejected than would have anyway. Seems mostly psychological to me because people who got rejected in this fashion are much more likely to post than the people who are still in process and realize they could be in that state for anywhere up to 8-12 months.

The most recent one I saw on these forums for some unknown reason the applicant had applied when their IELTS scores didn't meet the CEC criteria, it doesn't matter whether that kind of thing is checked immediately in Sydney or later in Ottawa it's always going to result in a rejection.
