My husband got a phone call from Cairo Canadian ambasy he has a interview Tuesday may 23 ,im a bit woried cause its so soon we just applyed for his
papers in march 2013 do i need to be woried ??did anyone esle had a interview that fast ??

So you applied from Cairo or Canada? Also what stream did you apply from?

I am guessing they may want to verify his name or English. Usually, at this early stage, they do RCMP police check and it takes 4 days. If an applicant has a popular name, they may want to double check on additional info to make sure they have the correct details.

I mean if you applied as "PhD stream" or "Canadian Experience Class" stream or Federal Skilled labor. When is the interview? I am surprised only he is going and you are not.

I checked your earlier posts and it seems you are applying under family class. The interview could be to verify that your marriage is real and not just for him to get PR. They may ask for proof you're living together like rent or same address or bills or shared bank accounts. According to CIC website, these applications take up to a year. Maybe they asked for interview to speed things up so hopefully this is a good sign.

we dont live together he lives in Cairo and im in Vancouve..we have much proof of our mariage being real ..ph text ,100 pictures,flight info from me
visiting him 2 x in the last year and fb copies from our post's over the last 3 years..but its up to Ambasy to make us happy to give him a aproval..
And much more proof we have provided to them..Inshallah

Do you mean to say he already served or not? If he did, it's not a problem. They just have to do extra check that he didn't commit any acts which are considered to deem him inadmissible: war crime, brutality, etc... and may request documents from the Egyptian government. It will just delay his application.

If he didn't, but expected to serve, they may ask when he plans to do it. In that case, I don't know.

i am kind of late to join this group.

I applied on 21 March 2013 and received AOR on 29 April.

I have received my NOA , where should i sent it. which office?
