Just a short question to everyone. Looking for someone who applied for Quebec Province. In the letter received from Beijing, they ask us to send the Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) with the passport. At the Quebec Immigration Office, they told us that the document (CSQ) is sent directly to the embassy (Beijing) the same day they send a copy to the sponsor.

We tried to get a confirmation from Beijing that they really received it. I can see that they don't reply to email.

We just need to know if we don't have to worry about it. We did send a copy of the CSQ version we received but it is not the original one.

I am outside of Canada so I can't contact CIC. Then the Kingston VO has an automated service which should lead to an actual person but 99.99% of the time its just a recording.

We are all waiting for the in process part and it takes so long! I have been waiting since May 30th. I hope this will happen within the next month as my file is still in ottawa. I called yesterday to find out what was going on he said it was in process...who knows at this point i'm hoping by september to get COPR

I'm finding that the online status is't updated and when it is, it's late. If that gives you any hope for a speedy process

YAY!!! I just got my CSQ dated the 13th of July!! They say it the letter that they send it directly to the VO and they state which one. They sent mine to ottawa so this finally confirms that that is where our file is being processed! They for sure sent a copy to your VO..if they didn't receive it they might request a copy of it you must contact MICC at that point and fax a copy but i wouldn't think anything of it! My lawyer's office states that some even wait until the Visa is ready to be issued before to do it or make sure it was sent out! NO worries

If you are trying right now, it'll be REALLY busy. Try at 330pm EST or closer to 4pm EST

Thank you Canadiangirl78 and Parker24 I'm relieved because i can use both to cross the border! Sponsorship approval and CSQ. @Parker24 the guy on the phone said that some were transferred to LA and others stayed in montreal to help alleviate the work load of the other visa offices... I just have a government paper stating that they sent it to Ottawa so i'll take that as a confirmation. Which makes me happy oh so happy I could sing...but i won't cause all the windows would shatter!lol

It's only that we received the letter from Beijing after receiving the CSQ. So it is strange to ask for something they should have received by the date they sent the letter. I don't worry too much about it because it is all government things .

The letter from beijing probably was sent before they got it, wait for their response in the matter i wouldn't stress about it!

My file also got transferred to London and I am also trying to understand when they update ecas. The only thing that has changed for me (apart from being able to log in!) is that for now it says "medicals have been received".

From the UK thread it seems like there are not many contacts between the High Commission and the applicants, they just request passports or send COPR directly for visa-exempt....

the spreadsheet for London has not been updated for a while, so I am not sure, but it doesn't seem that they send AOR (apparently some VO do systematically, but London doesn't seem to be one of them). Also - the request the passport rather towards the end of the process, not at the beginning like others..

GOod luck - you're 3 weeks ahead of me more or less, so I'll be following your progress and hope for a smooth processing for both of us!
