Hello Forum, Seniors and colleagues. I sent my application on March 8th. What next pls? Do i receive next contact from sydney via email or post? I am a Nigerian in Nigeria but applied to the sydney office via my friend in Edmonton.

i am worried about case delays now due to layoffs of 150 emplyees . I guess it might take 7-8 months for initial assessment as it was before in 2008.if anyone having proper information regarding this,kindly share the views.

if it took 7-8 months, i guess many people would withdraw their application. i am sure that the immigration minister would come up with some smart solution to this problem
lets hope everything goes well and we all be in canada by the end of this year, and start our new year and new life in canada

Hi i m new member. i want to reapply to CIC because 1st time my case was refused from new delhi because of 65 ponts only.i was unable to obtain sufficient points in my IELTS.so now i m again goin to give IELTs. But i heard rules are changing from 16 april so can i reapply on 6th april to CIC without IELTS.Will they give me approval again?while waiting for reply from CIC in meanwhile I will give my IELTS.

if u are re-applying to CIO nova scotia after 10th april, i would suggest u give ielts and send the result with it. with your previous immigration score of 65, u now need full 16 points in language to make your score 67. so practice hard for ielts and make sure you get the following score for each band:
L- 7.5
R=6.5
W- 6.5
S-6.5
