Congrats. please how did you pay the application fee? was it through debit or credit card? am worried because my application got to cio on the 31st march and up till now my visa debit card is yet to be charged. was yours charged long before you got the aor?

Don't worry, my application was received on March 15th and my credit card hasn't been debited yet. I called CIC yesterday and they said if I don't get anything by June 7th I should call back. Basically you need to count 10 weeks from the date the application was received. That's what they said on the phone. Good luck to all of us still waiting on AORs.

I sent my initial application to Sydney on march 8th and they recieved by march 10th. I did not get any response from them so far. I applied from buffalo and I a student in US. It's been more than 10 weeks now and no response. Is there a way I can find out about the status of my application? I have sent a DD and I cant even find out if it's been encashed as my bank would not give out that information as it's a foreign currency draft and asked my to find out with the people on whom the draft was issued.
any suggestions?

There are some other applicants from march who has not received anything yet and some people tried to contact CIC and they told them to wait until 7th June. So i will suggest just wait for another week if you dont hear from them then give them a call.
