Well i dont know which country you are from. As far i know here in Pakistan one can get ones PCC issued in ones absence. So if you are from Pak you can get his PCC.
Other option is send the application/Docs to CHC without PCC and write a note that he is on board a ship and shall be back and his PCC could be sent later on. Trust me Canadians are sensible. Anything which needs a clarification must be clarified.
Third and most important thing is dont be so desperate as you are still half way through the process and asking him to leave the job would be a great mistake.

Dear All , CIO received my initial immigr-application on 5th of March 2010. But in June-July i wana visit my relatives in canada .
Does any 1 know if visit visa will have any bearing on / it can affect or hurt my immigr-application ??? plz help

Would you please give feed back on what educational docs to be sent to CHC
1) Either Original degrees or notarized copies of the degrees?
2) What about Transcripts in university sealed envelopes? can we get it here in Pakistan?
3) Shall we have to send Metric and FA certificates and transcripts as well? Soem one wrote here that we need to send just the post secondary educaional docs. While in the Background dec i think everyone has mentioned Metric ad Inter and the guide says we need to rovide supporting docs for al the things claimed. Then how come we dont send Metric and FA

So it has been signed by someone named Paul in Halifax. The ones who got their AORS did their applications reached to the same address.

You can send original but notarized is also acceptable

Some Universities do provide them here in Pak, i asked the Registrar of my university and they have no problem in doing so, if you cannot do so then provide an explanation for it.

London office requires Post-secondary education documents only, but for your personal satisfaction there is no harm in providing notarized copies of Matric & Inter.

For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
•Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas;
•College or university documents: certification of completion and the graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university and the evaluation committee;
•Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.
•Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)

hi cuccooO!! thanks for the reply... i'm from the Philippines and we cannot get a police clearance on behalf of another person... i guess you're right - i will just have to send them the docs with a letter explaining the absence of my husband's police clearance... i really don't want him to leave his job yet as it is still very early to presume if we will get a visa... thanks again

HALIFAX?? It should be to Sydney, Nova Scotia. The are different places. Which address did you send it to?

on March 19th I sent the file to nova scotia, and on April14 they withdrawn the money from the card. this is good, right?

I sent mine in (received by CIO NS on March 15th)...still nothing.

yes, that was really fast , I didn't expect it so early. my husband and I are in the US on F1 visa, so will have to submit our application at buffalo. my husband's noc code is 0631.
