I got an email from RE-MANIL.IMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca on Aug. 5, 2013. They asked to send the additional documentation required within 45 days. My husband sent it all on Aug. 7, 2013, via Collect Courier (I think), and the woman guaranteed him, the visa office will receive it in 2 days (Aug. 9, 2013). They asked my husband to send:
Appendix A, NBI, Original NSO Advisory of Marriage, Written explanation from myself, Copy of my child's birth certificate, and Original Passort.

Current Processing time: 10 months, 2 weeks

Any suggestions about what should I expect next?

I don't pray for any one much,,,but because its a child I will pray for you,,,,,,my child coming from phils has cerebral palsy and I love him so much god bless u ,,,I hope ur wishes come through in the next few weeks,,,Cem is like god in the last 4 or so days so many visas,,this is the way it should be .... we are family not immigrants

Thanks tagum! Exactly my point... We are families broken by this process... I hope they see it that way and not just papers to be processed. My heart isbreaking to pieces just thinking of the possibility that i still have to leave her here but im still holding on to hope and lots of prayers that this ordeal may come to an end for us soon.. Hopefully in a few days time. Really my heart goes out to you and your family... So happy for you.

Ok, i just talked to my husband. he said he sent his requirements (some documents, including his passport) thru Philpost Express on Aug 7, 2013 (which took 2 days for them to receive). We had a tracking number and it said it was successfully delivered to CEM, Visa Office. He also went back to the post office and they told him that they had received his package. Will this be a problem in the future when my husband gets his passport back?

I was reading on other people's post about using a "collect courier". and that he MUST use a collect courier. Sorry I don't no my mail terms here. but is there a difference between a collect courier? and sending it thru express mail? I'm kinda getting worried that we did something wrong and my husband will never get his passport back! :(

Congrats to you too WoodyKatie! Safe travels to Canada!

I'm getting curious about the GCMS, I think il order one soon.
So, is it requested online or do i need to mail the forms? I saw one that gave a mailing address so I was confused, i thought you do it all online.

I know this has been asked many times, but what do i need when requesting it?
I am the sponsor, meaning i'd still nees the consent form right?

I believe that's a private company, you can check directly on the CIC website here

Since you're getting information on your husband's behalf you will need him to sign and scan and email the consent form to you!

The collect courier is what they use when delivering the visa - they will collect their fee from you when they deliver the visa, it's something around 100 pesos or so. Don't worry about what company delivers the documents to CEM, it's not a big deal.

YES CONSENT FORM SIGNED AND WHEN I DID IT U HAD TO PRINT OFF THE APPLICATION AND SIGN IT AND SCAN BACK ON,,,I WOULD IMAGINE THAT IS STILL THE SAME
