My ecas just changed from "App received" to "decision made" for the sponsorship application process. When I clicked on it it said: "We sent you a letter on August 29, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

On Aug 29 I received an email saying that I was eligible for sponsorship and the app has been forwarded to Manila for processing. They received the app package Aug 2.

Is the "decision made" for the sponsorship part normal? Should I be worried? Should I be expecting something via snail-mail too?

We received the same email, but didn't get anything in the mail. Don't worry, you're going onto Stage 2. Congrats!

there's nothing to worry about it .. since if there was a problem they wont tell you that they are sending it to manila .. so having to send them to manila just means you are now on stage 2 .. waiting for cem to process your app

Thanks mrski and marcjd. I was a little worried as I hadn't heard of other people posting about that their ecas going to "decision made" for the sponsorship part and I don't think my app is as straight forward as most.I am a little more at ease now.

I would imagine that all the offices abroad follow the Canadian holiday schedule.

Oh my! I cant believe i missed the big thing! Congrats tagum!! I have been away for 3 days no one in the house... Have to call dhl just in case.. Keeping my finger's crossed hoping i can bring my 2 y/o with me..im booked sept 18. Im really so happy for you tagum! Finally this ordeal is over for you and your family! Keep safe.

I don't pray for any one much,,,but because its a child I will pray for you,,,,,,my child coming from phils has cerebral palsy and I love him so much god bless u ,,,I hope ur wishes come through in the next few weeks,,,Cem is like god in the last 4 or so days so many visas,,this is the way it should be .... we are family not immigrants
