I am interested in the Toronto-Manila flights. I have checked the prices and flight times and everything but I am unclear about the stop in Vancouver. I have heard that in Vancouver the passengers must go through CBSA/immigration and then get back on the plane. Others have said you stay on the plane and CBSA/immigration is performed in Toronto. I was hoping someone from your office could clear this up for me.

Hi Eric-the-half-a-bee,

Thank you for your interest in flying with Philippine Airlines. To clarify the stopover in YVR from MNL-YYZ, here is what will happen: From MNL, we make a stopover in YVR for about an hour to an hour and a half.

The passengers will be asked to deplane and will be in a holding lounge after which you will be asked to board the plane again. If final destination is YYZ, customs clearance and luggage claim will be in YYZ as well.
