I could go for some of that!

Received the IMM1017 early this morning. The PPR came from CEM (the source site being international.gc.ca) but the IMM1017 comes from CIC (cic.gc.ca). So if you are finding a bit of a delay in getting supplementary info they say will come in a later email it is probably due to inter-departmental communication lag.

Seems to me that they could improve the situation by centralizing a lot of this stuff. But after watching a lecture on the NSA in the states regarding political, legal, and privacy issues of data integration I think I can understand the problems such centralization would cause.

So give it a few days before you start to worry.

I also notice still nothing has arrived at my wife's email. That is the address she listed on her application. Yet I am receiving everything fine. I don't know why exactly. I filled out the use of a representative so I would be notified as well. But that shouldn't mean she doesn't get notified does it?

Or maybe they have issues with sending to public email providers like gmail, Hotmail, facebook, etc? My email is private, hers is gmail. So if I hadn't listed an email address we would have heard nothing so far.

I know some others here have had problems. Where you have had problems, what kind of email provider was it? And which ones worked? Just wondering if there is a pattern.

From what I know, if you assigned a representative, the principal applicant wouldn't get any notification but it will all go to the representative. In your case, all notifications go to you.

Ah, ok. That would explain it then. I thought they would notify both.

Now I wonder if that was the case with the others as well?

Alas, with the Leafs in the playoffs I may use it all.

I'm the representative for my wife and she has been receiving all the email directives. She has a Yahoo account and I have a Hotmail account. Maybe they do not look forward to sending me emails for fear of what I send back......

Is it just me, or does this final waiting period seem to stretch on and on.. I've cleared space for him in the bedroom, for his things, and even gave him half the bathroom cabinet - that's very generous!

Now it's like.. the most painful waiting ever! He keeps asking me is this really real? Do you really think I have my Visa? :'( And I say, I think so.. maybe in a few weeks. He will always say pls kindly check my Visa again.. :'( I just checked ECAS 30 minutes ago but I will check it again for him. We are getting so impatient now! It's torture.

His ex is on one of her annoying streaks. She wants a boost in her 'salary' even though the kids will soon live with their Grandma to attend a better high school. She's bothering him and his parents again, continuously.

These last steps have been so expensive, the medical, and the CFO, which was my big idea, and then the future trip to Manila and getting the Dog ready, her stamps, her cage, silly yapping flea ridden little mutt. Paying off the landlord and moving everything in a van to his folk's place - they have already divided up his stuff in their minds 6 months ago. I'm down to half my income this month because a regular employer has suddenly gone awol.

When he gets his visa he wants to roast a pig with his whole family.. I don't have the heart to say we can't afford it! :'( How could you deny a guy one last roasted pig..

Awwww guys, thanks for letting me vent :'( Iay, when you are here next week let's get some Margaritas in us ;D

Its okay Steph... some people here know what you are going through and others will go through the same torment soon. But my wife said you can't deny him his last roasted pig. My wife has already asked for two pigs... she has a huge family!

If my wife asks me for a pig I will remind her that she married one.......

Roosters on ice... Cockfighting Canadian style

Maybe he would enjoy the rioting afterwards... ;)
Why not? They're wearing "blades" already . . . Oh! Yeah! The fans would come down and 'take' the ice home in pieces to cool their Red Horse.

Nah! We did that (assigned me - sponsor, as authorized rep) . . . She still got email notifications, most of which I did not receive at all.
