They changed a bunch of stuff recently. Like my wife had no problem changing her name to mine, getting new ID, etc. But apparently now it is a big deal. Even just getting a passport. I'm glad she got hers done before this. But she doesn't like interviews and gets really nervous. So I will have to prepare her for the CFO thing. She thinks it is JUST a seminar (actually we both did, cause that's all it is).

they had a new policy, when you get or make changes in your passport nowadays, you need to attend cfo seminar, and that's easy.
but for spouses/partner of foreign nationals who will immigrate, then that is where this madness seminar kicks in.

My wife was in the same boat... when she wanted to update the passport with he new name she was told about the CFO and needed it done before getting her passport. She just told me out of 15 people one definitely did not get it and she heard maybe one other may not got it. The girl that did not get it was a young girl (18ish) with an old man (65 ish) - ages according to my wife - and she was his 8th wife!...

Maybe your husband should have brought the rooster. Then he could sit back, relax, and say "Ask the Rooster!". ;D

8th wife eh? Wow, he must really be good at marriage now! :P

Maybe don't prepare her.. so she will not be scared. Unless she reads this.. I'm sure she will be fine. I think all you married people will be fine. I'm just nervous how they will react to a married guy leaving his poor wife and kids to live in Canada with a blonde floozie. That's how it will look to them. I think I need to say some prayers..

I HOPE there's a few of those in the CFO seminar today! :P

Just gotta say it... 2pm!

Thats what I was saying and that's what wife experienced and that's what website says.... So why the heck are they saying 8am, and why were the posts a while back saying 8am?

What a joke.... I'm glad it's done!

Yeah my wife was talking to the girl before the girl went for her interview. She had a couple of funny stories from that day.

In Cebu, you had to get there early to make sure you get a spot and fill out the questionnaire to save a spot for the afternoon. They only have 12-15 spots. So if you get there at 9am and the spots are filled then you are out of luck until next day. Possible that there were still spots open when your wife got there at 2pm

Just go to SM Mall.... you will see a few of these. My wife would laugh at me because I would just stare at the them because it looks so bad.

I think I would deny that one as well. A 65 year old guy and a woman under 50 I would decline. That is just not fair for the poor young woman having to sleep with Father Time.

She got there early afternoon on after remed... And there was lots of room.... Sounds we were lucky!
Cheers!

I've seen them. Especially in Boracay. I hope my wife and I don't look like that. I apparently don't look my age...so I am told. I certainly don't feel out of place around her family.

Is it too late to apply some photo filters to the pics in his camera? Change the hair color, add some special effects...
