I've seen them. Especially in Boracay. I hope my wife and I don't look like that. I apparently don't look my age...so I am told. I certainly don't feel out of place around her family.

We see them too 8) I think they need acceptance too, but sometimes I can't help but suppress the urge to run up yelling "Grandpa!!" :

The worst ones are the loud drunk guys who are going around with obvious bar girls.. and even being embarrassing for the bar girls. Or the US military guy I met in a plane, travelling to the province with his girlfriend's best friend.. as the flight went longer I could see out of the corner of my eye him putting his hand further up the 'friend's' skirt! Ugh.. yeah we see some prizes. Actually when we go around together it's a different matter.. dirty looks from all the girls around and guys high fiving him.. probably the same you will get when you bring your pretty wives to the shopping mall in Canada

My married friends are more jealous of how long I was able to stay a bachelor than how hot my wife looks.

Just ask my wife what they ask her at the interview. here are some of the questions she was asked...

Why did you marry your husband? Are you looking for resident?
Is your husband nice to you?
What are you going to do when you are in Canada?
Where did you meet your husband?
What will you do when your family asks for money if they have emergency?
What are you going to do if your husband wont help your family?
What are you going to do if your husband wont let you work in Canada?

Plus some more based on the questionnaire...

Obviously it might be a little different for your guy as you are not married...

Yes bar girls... my wife and I remember business guys at the radisson that would bring a different girl to breakfast each day. We would make a game of spot the bar girl at breakfast.

My wife may have a problem with the "what are you going to do when you get there" kind of questions because we still don't know. We are both interested in moving outside the city, but neither of us has lived a rural life so that plan may fall through. Maybe we will end up in suburbia, or stay in the area I live now. Who knows?

She will have a lot of "we are going to try a lot of things and see what we like" kind of answers. Unfortunately that is not what they usually want to hear.

Oh yeah, my wife tried to go to the SMEF-COW place but she said a security guard there said they no longer do the seminars. So that was a wasted trip. Looks like CFO is the only game in town now.

My wife said to this... "I will take care of my husband and work as a XXX". If your wife says the first part then they will come back and say how are you going to make money etc.. This is what my wife tells me.

Dang, that is almost another complete list of docs for the immigration app that they list on that site. Since I have photocopies of everything anyway I will send her a set. Its always fun to watch someone trying to be difficult by asking for lots of docs (thinking you don't have them) when you quietly hand them over. 8)

I think it is a good answer... I would give him the cert
