Whatever system is in place that can allow November applicants to jump over so many others with no means to flag them is a corrupt system. Not to take anything away from Comarxx but even if he is representative of 5% of all applications submitted then how can you not see it has no integrity.
Manila can easily see when the applicant was first dated and thats how they should be processed. That is what is fair. Not that you should have to wait over a year to receive the same service that someone else gets in a third of that time.
I CAN UNDERSTAND THEM WORKING ON OTHER APPLICANTS WHEN THEY ARE WAITING FOR DOCS ETC FROM THE OLDER APPLICATIONS, BUT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO USE THE ( BRING FORWARD DATES) AND IF SOMETHING NEW IS RECEIVED ON A FILE THE BFD IS SUPPOSE TO BE RENEWED AND THE APPLICATION GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE. I DONT SEE THAT HAPPENING, THEY HAD OUR NEW DOCS FOR OVER 6 WEEKS NOW, EVEN THE BFD PLACED IN THE COMPUTER FEB23 WHICH WOULD OF BEEN 45 DAYS APRIL 8 HAS PASSED AND 8) NO CHANGES 8) NOTHING NEW ITS INFURIATING JUST TELL US THE TRUTH ( THIER WORKING ON APPLICATIONS THAT ARE EASY TO COMPLETE) WHY HOLD UP 80% OF THE PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOME KIND OF RED FLAGS!!!!!!!!!!!! ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? BUT HONESTLY HOW MANY MANHOURS OF WORK /APPLICATION IF YOU PAY 1040 DOLLARS, I WILL ASSUME LESS THAN 40 HOURS

Congrats CJG! It's nice to hear they are working on a Sunday.. I guess there is no more strike action?
I'm curious why two of you now have remeds requested and no PPR as of yet. But we all know that it means approval! So this is great!

We do not know what their work schedules are. Maybe they have 2 different shifts. As for the job action that may still be in place. When a union embarks on any job action it is to get management to the table to negotiate in good faith. Most job actions are just employees following the employers policies to the letter which means no logical shortcuts to streamline the process. This means that the services will take longer to get.

If I was to go to work and follow every single policy set out by the employer I would not be able to get all my mail delivered in the same day. Every employ finds a method by which they can satisfy the service to the customer so things don't get backed up. This can come at a cost to the worker as in my case I am home with a broken foot. In times of labour unrest customers see it in the service that they are used to getting now being "witheld" when in actuality we are just following policy.

Try the opposition. Your MP obviously doesn't see the importance of your application going beyond the posted processing times.

IM SURE HE HAS BETTER THINGS TO DO, THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS 10% HERE IN SAINT JOHN, THE WORSE IN 20 YEARS. AND BESIDES IM SURE HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW THE INS AND OUTS LIKE HIS ASSISTANT, IM SURE ILL GET BETTER RESULTS WITH HER, SHE IS QUITE KNOWLEGABLE ON THE APPLICATION SYSTEM AND CEM. REMEMBER ITS NOT THE TOP DOG THAT GETS THE WORK DONE THEY JUST GET THE CREDIT 8) 8) I DONT EVEN IMAGINE JOHN KENNEY EVEN SAW YOUR EMAIL, JUST ONE OF HIS ASSISTANTS WHO MADE INQUIRIES ON YOUR APPLICATION AND IT GOT IT SOME MOVEMENT. WHEN I EMAIL MY MP IT GOES DIRECTLY TO HER. BUT I WOULD SAY I WAS HAPPY TO KNOW THAT HE DID KNOW ABOUT MY FILE THERE, IVE NEVER MENTIONED IT TO HIM B4.

You are too lenient. Politicians are there to work on your behalf.

No doubt Kenney never saw my email. His office monkeys screen them. Whether or not it played any part in the email my wife received today is anyone's guess. The thing about making calls and sending emails is 1) cathartic 2) they get recorded somewhere for some reason 3) cathartic 4) can lend genuineness to your relationship and they are cathartic.

Call me a crusty old Canuck but if you do not make your presence known then you will be consistently left out in the cold.

I BELIEVE ANY TIME SOMEONE HAS A MP INVOLVED, ACTION IS TAKEN IN MANILA, I SHOULDNT OF WAVED OFF MY MP CALLING MANILA MARCH 4 BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS TOO SOON AFTER WE SENT THE DOCS. NOW ITS BEEN 7 WEEKS AND AS HOW I READ THE PROCEDURE THERE ON BFD SOMETHING SHOULD OF BEEN DONE TO MY APPLICATION NOW. 8) IT DOESNT EVEN SAY IN PROCESS 8) I KNOW A GUY IN MONCTON HE SAID IT TOOK HIM 4 MONTHS TOTAL, HE SAID HE EMAILED THEM EVERYDAY THAT WAS IN 2011

Greets ALL!!!
FOUND you....read this weekend about an English thread relating to Manila specifically!) I'm just about to file an app for Permanent Residency..wife and I were married in January this past year. HER docs are en route now and are somewhere between Anchorage and Memphis..I'm eastern Ontario.

I guess primarily why I'm posting is to ask if anyone has experience or knows of any situation where they're wives or fiance's have been previously granted a Temp Resident for a family meet and greet and returned to the PH when they said they were going to AND does this speed up the process or make it smoother?

Ive been reading here and there throughout this forum and have found a supposed timeline and Ive checked the Excel flow charts that track file process times.

I cant find any situation that is similar to ours in the sense that she's been recently been granted the temp previous to the wedding.

Can anybody MAYBE give me an idea if this temp visa issued and used in the Fall of 2012 might benefit our process?

Thanks everybody! :)

What seems to be the problem in Manila is the volume of applications. Regardless of how well you fill out the applications and provide document evidence there are no guarantees that they increase the speed by which you get processed.

Her visitor visa experience will help to support the genuineness of your relationship. I don't think it will help you beyond that.

I doubt they will care what the stats on the forum say. I did a little editing.

I think the email is sufficient.

Maybe split it up into sentences and add some capitals at the beginning, so they know you're a Canadian citizen. Oh, and don't forget your File number!
