Irisgirl, my mp got almost the exact same reply when they checked 10 weeks ago. it just means they have all your documents, passport, etc and are doing a final review

Yah. Sadly i know i have to wait... But i have to be back in canada by the 2nd week of september at most and it breaks my heart to know that i might have to leave our 2 y/o here after having to sacrifice being away from the man of the house for almost a year just so our daughter would have aT least one parent with her... After they got her passport last june 19 my hopes was high that we will have a happy reunion soon... All of us together. Just sad with this whole process.

the woman who called said there was some confusion on one of our forms, and to bring a properly completed IMM5406. things would have been sooner if not for that. hopefully sooner for you

guess something still works there, got this last night, but confused because wife was called they said best to bring the the docs in person. She will need to fly to Manila, are they wanting an interview? i told her be there right at 8am and maybe she will get her visa before the end of the day. Also there is no address so we are sure if she goes to the new one

We are pleased to inform you that your visa(s) for permanent residence
to Canada is/are ready to be issued, conditional to a final
admissibility review by an immigration officer. In order to complete the
process you may personally submit, on Mondays and Thursdays only @ 8
A.M., the following:

1. A travel or airline booking certificate for a confirmed flight
within the validity of your visa(s). Please note that we are not
requiring a fully paid airline ticket. Kindly defer the final purchase
of your airline ticket until you are in possession of your passport(s)
and the appropriate visa(s).

NOTE: Your visa(s) will be valid for your initial entry to
Canada until 08/29/2013 (mm/dd/yyyy). Please ensure that the validity of
your passport(s) is at least six (6) months beyond this validity date
(note that any passport received with a shorter validity than the date
shown above will result in a reduced validity for entry to Canada for
all members of your family, if any).

The validity of a permanent resident visa - once issued - may
not be extended, nor can replacement visas be issued with a new validity
date. If you submit a booking certificate, it is taken as an indication
of your ability and willingness to travel to Canada within the current
validity of your visas as stated above.

2. Properly completed IMM5406 (Additional Family Information) form.
Forms may be downloaded at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp
<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp>

If you do not provide us with the documents enumerated above and/or do
not use your visa(s) before this expiry date and still wish to go to
Canada, additional requirements may be required and could result to
delays or extended processing times.

Congrats Yukon... I think they did it this way because your medical is expiring soon and want to make sure you have a ticket before the expiration.

We are shooting for mid-August. Our fourth wedding anniversary is coming up and we don't want to miss it. Though we don't know the exact date yet. She went to get the package last night. She has a few things to do still like finish working out what she is bringing, get the CFO stamp (she did the seminar already) and a few other last minute errands. Also flights are really expensive now. I'm either going to try to book something with travel points or else see if I can snag a cancelled ticket. Supposedly there are quite a few flight cancellations caused by the strike. The problem is they don't show on the usual internet flight sites. Might have to contact a travel agent of the airline ticketing agent to get one of those. Also have to get the temporary medical insurance though that should be pretty quick.

I would give yourself a little leeway (people have had spelling errors on their COPR) - Make sure she confirms everything on it. She will be okay as long as she lands before the date of the expiry of the medical

( AND THIS IS WHAT MY LAWYER DID)

Dear Visa Officer:

Thank you for your email of July 4, 2013. With respect, there must be an error.

The sponsor did indeed pay the $490 RPRF on October 20, 2012 and it was mailed to CPC, Mississauga in November 2012. Please see the attached receipt showing payment of $490 on October 20, 2012.

We are not sure why your office is stating that the $490 payment of October 20, 2012 is the “processing fee”? We are quite aware that the processing fee amount is $550.

In any event, the “processing fee” of $550 was paid on September 7, 2012 and submitted with the original application to CPC, M. Copy of receipt is attached.

This email is being copied to CPC, M.

We would therefore request that this application be finalized as soon as possible.

If you require any further information please let us know.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
