I used to live up by there. Are you near the Peanut Plaza? If so, you should try out Mr. Jerk (Caribbean food). I'm going to get my wife to try some when she gets here (there is one near where I live now too). Hmmm, think I might head out later for some jerk pork on rice and peas with oxtail gravy and a beef patty. Yum!

Oh the little fish and chips place there is good too. Whenever I am in the neighborhood I usually stop by for their poutine.

While it is prettier it isn't as nice as the old one. I could look at my status with just mouse clicks before. But I don't have to look at it anymore thank goodness.

Also my wife called to tell me DHL had her package. She will be picking it up tomorrow. I see a light at the end of the tunnel! Hope it's not a train!

does anyone know if the embassy give a grace period for medical exam?

My husband's medical exam is expiring soon. So I am thinking of asking him to do it again instead of waiting for the embassy to tell us.

any ideas folks???

well what I know is they send out a special form to get the remed done,,,as for now you probably don't have the passport in your possession,,,no there is no grace period but they have been rushing some applicants through when near the deadline of the medical

I've been reading that people are still getting visas despite the embassies being without staff. Anyone have any thoughts? Is this just the essential staff that cannot strike?

Maybe the printing of the visas and delivering to DHL is done by lackies?
