I am the sponsor (Canadian ) She is filipina ..I'm divorced twice .. she was never married and we have no children . Do you think this has an effect on your answer re: the medical for our application ?

I DO THINK YOU BEING DIVORCED TWICE WILL BE A FLAG BUT AS I UNDERSTAND THE MEDICAL IS STILL REQD IN YOUR APPLICATION,,,,, UNLESS YOU CAN FIND OUT FROM CEM CALL CENTER OR OTHERS THAT YOUR APPLICATION WILL GO ONTO MANILA WITHOUT A MEDICAL,,,,, YOU SHOULD DO ONE,,,,,,,,,SENDING YOUR APP BACK TO YOU COULD TAKE LOTS OF TIME

Let me give you all new comers a little advice.... just make sure all your papers are filled out proper....and once your papers are sent to the CEM Just wait...bitch all you like on this site... but never email the CEM.... or bother them... your application will move much faster... and if you took the short cut on the imm0008 by remove dependants...even faster.... but your spouse cannot sponsor as a PR.... to us it only took 7 months.... and went smooth... everytime you write the CEM the farther back your application goes...just look at the guy from New Brunswick.... he,s still waiting.... and Dan from Surry... I bet yours is next week...

How many times will not affect the medical unless I misunderstand your question.

The problem that arises is that CEM cannot process application before the medicals expire so they wait past the 15 months of the date of the medical and then request you go pay for another one. I would get the medical done only after her application has been sent to Manila.

Sure. The more background they have to go through the longer the review process. As long as the info he submits to explain the circumstances of his 2 divorces is clear then it shouldn't create too much of a delay.

Do you suppose Gort's wife read any of the posts where he announced he was going to cancel his app, divorce his wife and find a woman in Toronto because the process was taking too long? I wonder how special she feels after reading something like that. I especially liked how he could make his paying of the standard fees out to be like he paid something extra over us for better service and was getting screwed.

For any newcomers, Gort is ok as a comedy relief. Just don't take anything he says seriously.

I HAVE HEARD OF NONE BUT SUPPOSEDLY WHEN THE APPLICATION IS IN MISSISAUGA, IT IS TO BE CHECKED FOR COMPLETENESS AND RETURNED IF NOT COMPLETE

You may be asked to add more to it. But the only time you will get it back is when they are done with it one way or another. They wouldn't send it back and say to do it over...
