Where you able to check your file online using the UCI number they gave you?

I tried checking it today but it won't let me

Wait for a couple of days, it should still be updating it.
I use my UCI or our File Number, it should both work :)

For UCI, it will be your info. For file number, it will be the sponsored person's.

What was your red flag if you don't mind me asking?
So they will check our files in Manila even when they have already checked it in Missisauga?

They will only look at it in CPC-M, will not say anything, send it to Manila, then Manila does all the dirty work :P

I know it's hard, but try not to think of it too much :D
Just keep yourself busy :)

I don't think CPC-Mississauga does anything more than process the sponsorship portion which is pretty easy so long as they don't lose any part of your file.

I did not include an in-depth explanation of how I met my wife. I put it in point form and just kept to the facts. Outside of the legal documents I included our wedding pics and family pics and honeymoon pics. Only stuff that would support anything I had/my wife had written in the applications.

Our wedding was not even grand-- I proposed to her and a month later we got married and that was in jan 2012. does it matter wether your PR or Canadian citizen-- esp with the application process?

Ya i think so,,,, but most PR have a relationship with thier spouse b4 they come to canada, i think that makes it much quicker process,,,( married for a few years, biological children, older family albums, financial support receipts western union and hyperremit))

No. I don't think it matters if you are a citizen or a PR. Same rules for burden of proof apply to both equally.
