Question about some of the forms and if this is filled correctly

Document Checklist IMM5491, section Sponsored person and family members on #11 says:

Original of completed Additional Family Information (IMM5406), for the sponsored person and each family member 18 years of age or over, signed by the person concerned.

This is filled out by my sponsored spouse, one for each of her parents, and any brothers and sister she may have yes?

Just fill out the one copy that includes everybody.. not one for each person.

aarrgghhhh... we filled and submitted one for each member... my spouse, mother, father, and brother... and now after 9 months we finally get a reply requesting additional documents... on her brothers form he listed his wife and daughter.... and now they think the child is hers. they want the child birth cert. and an affidavit outlining the history of her relationship to the father, including details of how it started, developed, current status, etc

Okay, well just send an email explaining your mistake.

I think the confusing part is when they say "Family Member" it's in the narrower sense of the term - just to include you, your wife, and your own children. But people often think "Family Member" as defined by the application form includes brothers and sisters - it doesn't.

we are sending it right now, along with the childs birth cert that will show her brother and his wife and the real parents

Good idea sending the birth certificate. Good luck! Do you want to share your timeline so Scos can add you to the spreadsheet?

Just wanted to give thanks to everyone who keeps updating their situation in this thread and furom.

I recently submitted my application to my wife and here is the timeline:

May 1 2013- submitted application to CIC
May 25 2013 - approval for sponsorship- application is sent to Manila

the question is how long should we be waiting until MANILA EMBASSY sends an email to her about her part of the application?

CEM will not email you to confirm that they got your app.
The next thing you'll hear from them is the PPR (Passport Request).

Can I get the date of your medical, the city or province you are going to, if you are married/common-law/conjugal or child app and how many dependents (and if they are accompanying you) for the spreadsheet? Oh, and how can you have approval on May 25, 2013? It is only the 23rd...

You know this is mind of stupid, I am in Edmonton here for a few days for a conference, but all our ecas info is on my other computer. So I am getting kind of fidgety not being able to see "application received" four five times day. I think I am going through ecas withdrawals.

Congrats Steph and others who have managed some progress, hope to be joining the club soon! :)
