Busy weekend for me. Since I got my PPR at the point in time when we were expecting Stage 2 AOR, (hope everybody gets as fast results too), I'd done almost nothing in the way of sorting and packing so I started on that Friday. Never realized how much crap I actually had

Haha I'm sure you don't have much to do. Are moving a lot of things? Are you driving? It's premature for me to think about my move but I don't even know how I ll move. Would I drive? Sell all my crap? Hire a moving company? Sell my car or worry about the importing mess? so what are your plans?

We just got home from our min-cation. We were going to stay until this afternoon - I think my hubby had plans to take me into the park for some nature time (love it!) but he woke up early this morning. Weather changed. Roads were freezing over and we needed to get going. And the roads were icy. We almost found out the hard way. Saw a police car (I think from Baldwin, AB but I'm not sure of the names.... something like that...lol) in a ditch!

I have decided I'm taking my hiking boots on any adventure from now on. EVERY adventure! My husband gets 'great ideas' that involve climbing a mountain of snow or hiking a cliff. Not suitable for my everyday comfy shoes.

But... we had a Jacuzzi. It was a good trip!

Super awesome! We went to the mountains last year hoping to camp but it it rained cats and dogs may be next time. I did enjoy the view though. The mountains in Alberta are freaking awesome!

Oh and when we came home, I discovered some of my herbs have started sprouting! Yay!

I can't remember what I planned in which pot, so I don't know what is growing... but YAY!

I love going to the mountains! I'd move there if I could. Hubby actually offered me a day trip to Banff or the overnight in Red Deer. I picked the Jacuzzi.

I'm sipping on my cup of tea right now...watching tv and my husband doing the same. Duh we are on Skype but we ve been to keep it as real as possible. We made dinner last night "together" and we had breakfast today..yum French toast. I'm now addicted to Hay Day on iPad and I have less time for everything ugh

I'm bringing my two cats with me, so driving it is. Not sure just what all I'll be taking with me yet because Estevan has an unreal housing shortage so we don't know where we'll be staying, (she shares an apartment with her sister now). If I am bringing furniture I'll hire a moving company.

I was just reading a thread on another site about importing your car, looks like a royal pain, but my car is paid for, in excellent condition and handles well in snow so I figure to import and keep it for a year at least then buy something.

Make sure your cats don't smuggle any (stink)bombs into Canada. My cat is stinky enough.

If your car doesn't have 4 wheel drive, you'll probably end up wanting a new car sooner than you think!

It doesn't but I live out in farm country just south of Buffalo NY, we get about as much snow and wind as SK does. I probably will replace it with a Jeep though

If I may ask, where are you moving from. My car is paid for also but it has around 100k miles already. Other than that it runs well and it's 4x4. I'm just fed up with paperwork. I haven't discarded any options yet.
