The countdown to my trip begins... And the pre-trip routine. Ladies (and probably tuyen) you know what I'm talking about!!

The Mr and I have been dealing with some stuff related to the application (no movement yet) and our consultant. The last few days have been a challenge. >:(

ATTENTION ARTHRITIS LADIES:

Have you guys tried taking glucosamine and chondroitin supplements?

What about cortisone injections once every year to the affected joints?

A couple years ago when my grandma was 87, one of her knees finally stiffened up on her so much that she couldn't walk anymore (after years of arthritis that she only developed in her 80s). So I started her on glucosamine and chondroitin supplements which helped, but they didn't completely fix the knee, although I didn't expect it would be a complete cure because she's been ignoring it far too long and just "living with it" out of old-age stubbornness. So one day I finally packed her up in my car and took her to a doctor who gave her a cortisone injection right in her knee joint. That same day, she was able to stand up again all by herself. The next day, she was already running around the neighbourhood, completely free of any pain. The effects of the injection lasted about a year and a half (although one year is more typical). Now she wishes she had done it much sooner. Duh...

I can attest to glucosamine and chondroitin! I have runners knee. It's pretty awesome.

Don't eat M and M please!!

Hmm, okay... unless she's filled with peanut butter. Then we might have a problem.

This morning:

Hubby: Hey, I got an email from the government of Canada

Me: *gets really excited and nervous* What does it say?

Hubby: They sent me instructions to apply to get my duty refunded.

Me: *GLARE*

Hello Moonie!

Anyone wanna help me growl at MTO?

I thought I would share what's going on with my life :-X
My hubby wants me to move in with him in Canada in the next two or three months. I am terrified to leave my life here. I love my husband and I want to be there with him but I feel like somebody is trying to make me hatch before time. He told me we are not going to wait for that email from cic and that a husband and a wife need to live together.
For those whose spouses had to move in with you or if you have moved before the process was completed...how hard has it been.
We are already anticipating a tight budget because I won't be able to work and my hubby will have to keep two places..mine place is good until July. :-X

My excitement is almost completely dampened, unfortunately. Stuff from our consultant (and then my husband pins it on me) about how it was wrong to apply to London instead of New Delhi because his UK visa expires in March. I had high hopes in the beginning that the interview would have been before March, but London has ground to a halt so who knows when we'll find out about an interview. If a visitor visa to the UK for the interview is denied, chances are CIC will reject our application because he won't be able to attend the interview. No idea if CIC will even help us reschedule an interview in that situation. I've been so upset, I couldn't go to work today.

I was feeling SO positive until about Saturday.

Awe I'm sorry you've been upset. This process is really stressful and weakens our spirits.
It's a pity because ND vo has been speedy. London hasn't been bad though. Hang in there. You might even get a surprise when you are flying or when you get there.
I didn't go to work today either.

Has your hubbie been requested for an interview?

No. The chances are high, however, because he's an Indian citizen. At the current pace, London likely won't open our application by the time his visa expires.

Thanks lunas. I've been beating myself up about it because I was convinced we'd make it before March, and my husband decided to make me feel even worse about it last night.
