Are you saying they missed something :o :D.....

Congratulations.

They haven't caught me yet!

Cuz you know, one time when I was late to the airport, I sped really fast on I-85, but I was still in the slow lane!

Which.. I could have yes. But I also have the problem of swearing haha. I grew up around it and I'm trying to break the habit since it's a biiig no no in schools.

I adore the kids I work with, mostly special needs. But don't like being: bitten, scratched, spit on etc. That part I don't like

Ugh, I worked as a teacher in my early 20's and I almost went crazy lol

Parents are worse!

Once had a kid with a behavioural disorder. He acted out constantly. However, with some direction, his behaviour was much improved. However, parents refused to do anything. Blame everything on his disorder, whine and cry, and not help him develop skills at all! He desperately needed them to work with him, but they were happier being lazy victims. People like that make me really glad I got out of that business.

I'm a roll this week. My FBI clearance finally came back- with no record. Woohoo!

Now my husband pretends he doesn't remember what forms he has to fill out.

Hahaha.. not that you have been waiting all that long now! :) Congrats!!!

Yeah I know what you mean!! I used to do respite work with kids when I was younger and their mom just let them run the whole show and would say "well it's because of their ADD" and I would always think Nope it's because you don't tell them NO!!
Now being in the school system with my oldest being in kindergarten I'm constantly blown away by crazy parents! The amount of not owning up to what their kids do is crazy and all the "hand holding" and "helicopter" parenting drives me nuts! I drop my 5 year old off outside the front door and watch him run into the school and then he goes to his classroom on his own and there are kids in grade 3 and 4 that are being walked all the way to the classroom door and the parents almost always comment on "look how big and brave he is to go on his own!" um yeah we just go over the rules and what we expect of him! And don't even get me started with the huge lineup of cars picking up kids from Jr. High.... I over here thinking is 2nd grade old enough for him to walk on his own?! lol

I work as an educational assistant, so a lot of the kids think I'm a student..

I never did the teaching stint, I just use to coach. That was an experience in and of itself. Teenage girls learning about sports and boys at the same time. No idea how you all survived a classroom.. but kudos!

I do agree about the parents.. some of them were worse than their children and totally oblivious to whats going on.

I hate helicopter parenting. It drives me up the wall - but I was very much a helicopter TA mostly because they aren't my kids, I don't know them as well as their parents, and I'm a paid employee. That doesn't mean I didn't let them touch the snakes though :D (I was trained to teach new employees and volunteers to handle them and everything hehehehe - only person that never got bit!)

Helicopter parenting would be my least favorite parenting style if abusive/neglectful parents didn't exist.

Of course, you can be like my parents and combine the two............ ::)

Not so much this weekend. My hubby has the flu so I'm letting him rest and get better. I want him to go back to work on Monday ::) lol
It's been a long week. January and February and March always take forever for me. I think it has to do with the lack of holidays here in the US.

Did you all hear the United States of Pop for 2012? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q0dsG8fTHY

I love mashups. *_* 2009's was the best, but I think I like 2012's the most.
