+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
My husband's e-cas shows Ottawa received his address update but still no 'in process'. I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll be on the higher end of the processing time. My frustration level with the waiting and unknown is increasing.

I'm also stressed because I flew back to Canada last night so I could turn in my US departure record and not have an overstay/deportation situation.. but I'm attempting to return to the US next week via air and stay until January. But with a previous visa (and they finger printed me!) on my record now, I'm nervous that they'll start asking a ton of questions again like they did when I drove across in September. But they're usually more lenient when flying, right? Luckily our 1st anniversary is next month, so that's a valid reason for travelling back to Arizona.

All we want is to be together..

/end rant :)

Congrats to the PPR's!!

Cgagnon, that is AWESOME!! Hearty CONGRATS!!

Here's hoping the rest of Marchers will receive word soon!

I got an email yesterday saying that my application is complete and they asked for my passport! ;D

Hi guys,
I got a huge problem here. At first I thought "MP" related to the agency, where you need to pay money to let them prepare your case.
Now I was told all applicants can have their own "MP". I tried to get some information from website, but I still don't get it. How shall I find out my MP?
I applied my case in Mississauga first, after they approving the sponsor, my case was transferred to Buffalo and then to Ottawa, now in LA.
Who do I need to contact? How long it may take to find my own "MP". Does MP really help? Thanks a lot.

Your MP is Member of Parliament. It depends on where you live.

Here's the list:

Hello All,
I am new to this Forum and was reading to all your comments and very helpful advises, so thought of joining in and share my experience as well.
So we sent our file on April 9th, 2012 under family class sponsorship and on October 3rd I received an passport request email asking to send my passport to LA Office which I did and my passport was received on October 9th.
Now I am wondering, how much time it would take for them to stamp my passport and send it back to me. I hope I get it soon.

Thanks for all your advises and comments in advance ! Wish everybody Luck :)

Raj

My PPR arrived September 26, and my passport was in LA on September 28. They returned it on Wednesday October 10, so it would seem (from a sample size of one) that it takes about 10 days or so to return it.

Hi computergeek, I have a question did you have to send 2 photos along with your passport? I got an email today from CIC-LA and they're requesting my passport. But I'm not sure if I still have to send 2 photos since I sent a couple of those when I filed my app. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am pretty sure you need to send two additional photographs along with the passport and make sure the photographs are stamped with the date :)

Yes, these are the photos that will be used to produce your PR Card (so they come back affixed to your COPR)
